    • An alternative to +30% dmg? (Blessing)

    Hey, i'm CTR, and im here to suggest an alternative to the Jonas' Blessing. I'm not saying removing it entirely is not a bad idea, but PWE may not want to do that. The Jonas' blessing offers free advertising to PWE, easily more valueable than players. By changing the blessing to +30% defence, it would change the effect entirely, in more ways than just owning mobs.

    The problem is, when the blessing is equipted, it completly changes the balance of the game. Assassins do insane damage (+60% with their buff), while this widens the gap between Clerics and the more balanced classes.

    Changing the blessing to 30+ defence will probably do the following:
    -Positive Effects-
    *Keep the flow of free advertising
    *Make PvP less of a first hit wins fight
    *slow instances down (=need for better equipts because of reset=more cash-shopping)
    *continue to give players that use the blessing an advantage in PvP and PvE (or make it even, in case of vs assassin)

    -Negative Effects-
    *With sage, Wizards could have +150% elemental / physical dmg (Pro for Wiz, Con for others)



    So what you say guys? Would this be an okay alternative?

    Please note, i tried to see through the eyes of both the player bace and perfect world in this post

      would probably be better just to give you a choice of attack or defence.

      Tbh, barbs and BMs have enough HP and def already without needing more of the second. (I'm a traitor to my class, I know, get over it) . The same can be said for attack and DD's as well.

      Better just to get rid of the blessing altogether, or reduce it to say 10 or something. Attack lvl +10 is still desirable enough that people will use facebook to get it and advertise for PWI, but doesn't break the game like +30 does.

      But, as always, nothing we say here will get through to the devs so it's kinda pointless arguing about it. Let the chinese players do it they have a bigger voice, the same opinion as us, and more direct access to the devs.

      The blessing was added to balance or correct situations. What people are QQ'ing about (including you) is that you no longer have things unbalanced in your favor.
      Be kind: Help the GMs to depopulate the servers.

      Tweakz the OP is a wizard, aka insane DD. The blessing is very *good* for him, it's unbalanced in his favour not against as he can spike higher and more likely to one shot a player.

      Yeah add +30 Def. Lv. - smart! It would make people like Rawrgh damn near impossible to kill. However about a 15-15 Atk-Def bless box? Balance for the win?

      I agree to an alternative but not what the OP has in mind. I suggest PWI give us +60 atk level or 90 atk level.

      Why stop at 30 atk level?

      Yea because if I have a +30 def lvl blessing, and every mage/archer/sin/psy has a +30 atk level blessing...... yea you're right that would just be OP.

      But why stop there? Why not hand out Nirvana Gear Packs to everyone who does the advertising and pass out WarSoul Weapons to every other spammer ? I mean we are already getting the 30 atk level why not just give us the other 20 atk level with the WarSoul Weapons ?

      News flash. >__>"" You do not farm for the blessing. It is something that came out of nowhere, not like nirvana gears or warsoul weapon. You cant even put a price to it, making it the ideal way to hand out +60atk level, and +90 atk level.

      Go and level, try to learn more things before commenting on these kinds of issue.

      What advertising? Everyone's making fake FB accounts because they don't want their wall or friends to be spammed with PW's posts or notices.

      That would nerf pets, and seeing how veno is the most popular class, expect a mass rage quittings lol.

      Introducing a blessing on the other hand is nerfing pets indirectly, it has the psychological effect of not making many venos angry(some are though).

      Besides, if they gave us +30 defense blessings they'd make less on money on charms. I wonder how charmed barbs are feeling right now...

      While a Defense blessing would be better for (some) of the players (I'd prefer it myself honestly) its not better for PWI's income.

      OK first off look at when I joined this game green horns. He he he, the forums messed up on my avatar, currently Bean is a level 99 BM and I have a Venomancer named Beanette level 95. HOWEVER, because I joined these forums earlier and as a cleric Bean is still a cleric. I have complained several times on the forums to no Avail...

      HOWEVER, as to your earlier statement, I was trying to prove a point. You realize that Warsoul is +50 ATK level and that the further attack levels is actually more over-powered than the warsoul weapons at +90 due to the % level.


      **** Another Caveat this directed at Lylfo ... Go join a PK server where your levels actually matter kthxbai?
      One Caveat, I personally am not adverse to another form of reward, I prefer it if they just gave you a pack for a chance at these blessings and myst chips/ mirages.

      Umm, then sad to say, its kinda pathetic that we have these kinds of high level bm and veno.... who does not know whats the difference between something that is farmed and something thats given.

      If something is given, EVERYONE gets them.
      If something can only be obtained by spending cash or farming/merchanting in game, only those who have cash or farm/merchant in game would get them. If PWI would switch policy and give them out, whats the point of farming them?

      Also, you do realise that the attack level from warsoul stacks with the attack level from blessing? God, why did i even bother to reply >_>""""""

BUT as to the whole farming / vs earning concept. TECHNICALLY you can all charge your credit cards and swipe away for these wonderful items just like how you can TECHNICALLY spam your friends with perfect world information.

      Alas, it is all about perspective, do you know how much advertising is worth dear? Perhaps not as much when it is done on a facebook wall, but on the walls of over 100,000 facebook users? That is worth quite a sum of money I hope you know.       Exactly it BALANCES. I worked hard to get where I am, just to have these blessing introduced and make me feel like my 10k pdef is really 5k. I feel squishy again. Really I dont know why pwi thinks its good.. gives people are reason to "not" refine. Why refine your wep when you get a free blessing? A def blessing would put us back at a balance.... wait I found the answer..

      They want us all to +12 our armors.

      I am sure that if you can register to play a free mmo game, you can certainly register a new facebook account for the sole purpose of getting the blessing without any "advertising" involved. Also you can delete the post from your wall after getting it, something which alot of people are doing.


      If what you say is true, that this advertising is worth as much as cash shopping in game, why don't i see everyone walking around with a warsoul in hand?

      The blessing : up to 1 hour to make a facebook account and accept the blessing
      warsoul/other cash shop item : up to forever depending on how you get the money and coins.

      Also, the ones who are not getting the blessing are only gimping themselves, if they think getting a new facebook account is that hard, then it is up to them to not have the advantage.

      Also the part about the "technically" is kinda dumb. Maxing out your card is much much worse than spamming your friends.There are legal/finalcial repercussions wating for you after that, while spamming friends, they can choose to ignore your post. You start sounding like a person who is lacking common sense when you equate those two....

      Honestly this is my favorite solution to the whole issue. Even though I'm a DD class myself this event was rather stupid.

      People already have them stacked to the sky in their alts and use stash... not an option to remove. Only thing they can do is apply the def blessing.

      LOL you wish they could code that well.. it'll glitch and be 1 year.

      But seriously 1 hour on each and people have stacked to the sky won't make a difference in reality. Just equip before TW, TT, PK etc. and still have a few hundred left in alts.

      Add new defence box? Play hunt/delete on current box? How about continue with the 30% attack, and just retroactively tweek em all to only apply to npc's (including pets.... stupid venos). Oh look, no more complaining about one shot kills, and faster farming so no one can complain about being nerfed.
