Here's the actual stats of a Lv.80 Turtle(The lv.5 one,Riptide Tortoise(have 3 different names)),and the *Famous* Celestial Pumplefish

    hehe but of course the turtles better since it was lvled from a low lvl. many just get plumpfish cause its really hard to lvl the turtle and also water pets are used rarely

    wow not that big of a difference between the 2. turtles got a little better stats but for underwater quests and helpin people out etc, i would say its not worth lvling a turtle.

    Yeah, I wouldn't want to spend hours leveling a pet that I would never even use most of the time.

    I just fly over the water and fish stuff out with spells so my sawfly can kill it.

    I am leveling a turtle to tank the Lochmur Guardian fish monster. It's a real p.i.t.a. to level but, so far, at 65 it can already tank him. Problem is I still can't get many attacks in, so it would take forever. I will have to level it a bit more... *sigh*

    Hehe, i will... I am leveling it on Dragonmaids, they are level 76 and drop nice thingies like Jade Juyis or Flat Peaches occasionally, so it's not a complete waste of time. Still, it's slow, because they tend to gang up on me and my pet, so I lure them to the shallow water first.

    Once the turtle is my level, it will be the perfect water tank, I hope. b:laugh

    in mdef: same growth chart
    so that means 6329-5729=600, the turtle will keep 600 more mdef than the plumpfish

    atk: same growth chart
    so that means 2319-1960=359 diffrence in attack will stay,...

    however in hp and pdef the plumpfish has better growth chart, and the plumpfish has more speed,... so i would still go for the plumpfish,...

    i like them both but personally i only used my fishy once cus i dont wnt to be seen with the ugly thing lol my turtle was a pain to lvl but atleast i got some coin & extra exp & spirit out of it

    So, for the brave souls who have leveled a turtle ... Any advice, strategy, coordinates to improve leveling speed for your turtle? Maybe there is a way to flood the cube of fate... hmmm...b:laugh

    I had a cleric friend heal me from out of squad let the pet DD while I direct tanked the Lochmur Guardian fish monster. Worked well and was faster.

    If that is the boss you need for the platinum charm tideborn quest, I tanked it solo with an asgard plumpfish that was lvl 86. Took maybe 15-20 mins.

    That and the turtle mini boss in the 69/70 fb instance are the only times I ever use my water pet now. A lot of times you can lure something to the surface and tank with a nix.

    I also tank DoD with my herc by luring it half onto one of those islands with water pet.

    Same with Jewelscalen. Lure it to the ground with nix and tank with herc.
