Its a matter of principle but since you "say" you were trying to quote someone else that's fine, I'm ok now.     Well i'm not sure about all this pc story about tideborn they're trying to sell us, but the fact remains they keep coming from the south ilegally and stealing jobs from hard working untamed. Jan Brewer for governor of Dreamweaver! Deport the fishies back to Raging Tide!

    The game states that Pangu created everything. Then he divided himself into the 7 elements. The world itself is Pangu now. One of those elements includes water. The Tideborn are basically Mer-People born of the tide or sea. In other words, Tideborn were possibly not an original race. They didn't come into existence until Pangu basically defused himself into the elements. I dunno how the Tideborn came to be but I do know they did come from both Pangu AND the water because they're pretty much the same thing. Elves are the only direct descendants of Pangu. The storyline says, for lack of better words, he basically knocked up a mortal human and the winged elves were born directly from his bloodline.

    If you think about it, this is the order for beings in which ones came to be first:
    1. Pangu
    2. Original Race (wraiths)
    3. Humans
    4. Winged Elves
    5. Untamed

    The Tideborn and Nightspike most likely came into existence around the same period as the humans. It's also mentioned that he attempted to destroy the wraiths by washing away all life except a small group of celestial humans in Heaven's Tear with a great flood. That's probably why there's an endless sea: most of the Earth was drowned. Tideborn probably started to exist about now right after the Great Flood. They're a 'lost race' so they're either slightly older than humans or slightly younger. Whenever the endless sea was created is when the tideborn were also created (along with the nightspike).

    Pan Gu once ruled over all, then the devs came in and took over. Now the world is tainted with endless packs, hyper oracle nubs, and bugs galore. As to answer the question of where did the Tideborns come from... easy. They came from the devs greed to make more money.

    Eh, I don't really find toasting/barbecuing fish offensive. Its not like I'm a fish in rl, lol. The only reason I find what she/he/it said offensive was because its basically a bold faced lie in my opinion and like I said we look bad enough as it is, no need to make stuff up. I mean head to our assassin forum and you'll see flame posts on assassins or better yet just look at the "I hate assassins thread" in general discussion.

    Fish jokes don't bug me, goodness I make some up myself occasionally. And yeah hard to be sure of any one's sobriety on the internet.....op could have been drunk. Actually everyone who's posted in this thread could be but that's unlikely.

    Either way, you think water mobs are better than us, right? At least in fish form. Here are SS of me fighting in fishform and one with me fighting out of it. All except the first two are with me buffed with my sin buffs such as BP (no you can't click on them in fish form but you can do it out of it and they stay, there by making sin buffs legal in fishform). I fight buffed out of fishform so I fought in fishform buffed, the only reason I'm not buffed in the first two is because I forgot about buffing, lol. I will also note I use mold daggers from the weapon token quests and my current daggers (which are the weapon token 2 or 3 ones I think ) have a bramble guard type effect called spikes (it appears like bramble but its a temp thing that happens every now and then).

    not bad explanation. but to the first post, psychics dont need fish form, why do we need melee dmg when like 95% of the water mobs, r water element? psys speacilize in earth and water dmg. it takes me like 3 hits to take down a water mob with black voodoo. and besides fish form is melee dmg ONLY, and what r sins? pure melee, so its basically nothing new besides no skills

    The only real water element sins get is that if you pay attention to your base elemental resistance, all Tideborn have an increased water resistance even without gear on. I'm not sure by how much or if it increases when you level. I think it's 200 or 400 points higher than other elements.
