Well last time I installed the game after I typed in the admin password it said this

"The program can't start because JPGI.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."

I've also checked the first few threads stickied but they don't seem to help.

Also its saved as Documents\Downloads\PWI Rising Tide

Also if anyone can post the one I should have maybe if i change mine to that that'll fix my problem?

    1.Try verifying your files
2.Re download it.Large downloads can sometimes be faulty
3.It's probably not Windows 7 fault since I play on Windows 7

I believe Kage meant to verify the files in the installation procces. (A message should pop up while installing the Pwi Client)

download via bittorrent the Vista version of the game
    try installing again.

edit: looks to me like they don't differentiate Vista/7/XP versions anymore b:surrender
    any rate: http://pwi.perfectworld.com/download/torrent

at your own risk, after trying the above, if you still get a .dll missing error try the following:
download the file from here: http://www.dll-files-download.com/J/2008-01-13/7556.html
or ask another person you trust to copy their own .dll file to you (I recommend running virus/spyware scans on .dll files you get off the web from unknown sources)
if confident the copy you receive is safe, copy it to "C:\Windows\System32"
    go to start -> search
type "cmd" without quotes and press enter
in the dosbox the opens, type
    regsvr32 jpgi.dll

and of course press enter to enter the command. the dll should now be registered globally for all applications that depend upon it.

Here are some things that might help you...

Add the game folder and/or game file to the exceptions list in your firewall or antivirus software.

Example: C:\Perfect World Entertainment\Perfect World International

You also might need to temporarily disable your antivirus, MS Security Essentials or Windows Firewall long enough to get into the game, and then turn it back on. Sometimes disabling may not help and you will need to add an exception for the game folder.

It might be Windows, Windows Firewall, Admin (such as running the game as Administrator), UAC, network, or antivirus settings that you will need to change so that they aren't blocking or throttling the game.

You can also try changing your proxy settings for Internet Explorer 8, to have them turned off here: Tools > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings > and then untick all of the proxy settings.

If you still need additional help, please Search our Knowledge Base for the terms mentioned above. Let us know what you tried and what errors you got when you reply to us.

    Thanks!
