Highlights and Lowlights of your PW Career

I know for all of us we have had some massive highs and some pretty horrible lows, and i thought id share a few with you.

First my high, the story was my friends and i from Conqueror guild were out pking on our lvl 8X assasins there was 4-5 of us and we had just reached the level where lvl 10X people could not see us in stealth. the Director of our opposing faction Spectral (lvl 101 mage) had come out to PK and we were having a jolly fun time all apearing and ganking him on our assasins. then he came out again and said somthing along the lines of i know how do deal with you pesky invisible assasins and zhened in the air on one of us and killed another who was white named and he went red, then we all killed him and he dropped his +10 Neon Purgatory Lunar wepon...

needless to say that was one of my happiest moments on this game b:victory

Now to my lowest point, and needless to say alot of jeering at me for it :(. i had saved up doing 3-1 on my veno for almost a month and i had 50m coin and i bought the Wing Trophy - Lunarglade for 49m and so excited that i could get the -6 channel cape for my veno, so excited in fact i made it on my BM not realizing you could not trade it >_< and that is how my BM ended up with a -6 channeling cape

So anyone else out there with some High/Low lights u want to share post away im sure everyone will like to read your stories.

    If your veno is on the same account, I don't suppose using Account Stash to trade would work?

    I was about to say the same thing.

    Highlight of my PW career?

    Before anniversary packs. Many of my friends played the game back then, it was exceptionally fun, nobody was half as serious about their pixels and generally the snobby attitude of high levels was not as prominent, nor the equally snobby and obnoxious attitude of the low levels who constantly think they have something to prove.

    The lowlight?

    After repeated pack sales chased off the majority of my friends, warped the economy and in doing so warped a good portion of the community.

    yes i already did and now it is on my WF but that is not what the thread is about post some of your own significant events in PW

    Aww, but being off-topic is more fun. :P Fine fine...

    Highlights-
    1. Although I learned what it meant to be a "tank" in FB29, it wasn't until I tackled Dimentora in TT1-2 that I really started to enjoy it. I practiced on mobs 10+ levels higher than me in my 60's, figuring out the importance of using Alacrity to cancel. Aurum Specters out by Forest Ruins were my favorites. So when I encountered Dim, it was second nature to cancel him at every opportunity. The realization that he was channeling his AOE, and I could spare not just myself but the whole squad some hurt by cancelling well... that's the moment I really started to take pride in what I was doing.
    2. The day I opened my mailbox at Village of Dreaming Cloud and found Nikodemus in my inbox. Sadly, very few seemed to notice that the white bird lifting off wasn't an Israefel.

    The low point would probably be the time I turned on PK mode outside City of Lost, goofing with a few friends - and then got ambushed by a 'nix-wielding veno out hunting. I still regret pushing that button.

    High point definitely has to be that one BH69/59. We had three BMs, two axe ones and then me. They said they would tank, but couldn't hold aggro over my fail all path vit BM with level 60 fists. All of them thanked me after the run, especially the clerics (one use BB and the other one RB'd) since neither of them died.

    I also had a high point in PvP. Running around West Gate when level 101 Regi BM was chasing me and being unable to kill me. b:chuckle Also on LC, running after Spectral people and debuffing them with my level 30 veno.

    My low point is the second when I realized that I can't make enough money to get my stuff ready at 90. I suck at merchanting.

    Highlight: obtaining a Scroll of Tome from a pack. Used it to get my bm RainbowPunch a hp helm from the arch elder.

    Lowlight: As a veno... can't believe I'm saying this... spending $100-125 (at the time) to buy a herc. This was quite some time before prepaid zen cards were introduced.

    Highlight: Realizing that Dismal Shades AoE doesn't hurt me that much, while everyone else in the lobby of the Secret Passage died - the hall was littered with corpses, I was one of very few survivors.

    Lowlight: We were doing my FB69, everything was fine, until *after* killing Polearm we realized that I hadn't tabbed Polearm, but Gaurnob instead (the pillars are standing together). The squad was not amused. I still blush when I remember that.

    Highlight? After taking a break for a few months I logged on again and continued. The mail symbol was active, but I assumed it's just an "important" message from the GMs or something like that, so I ignored it. Then, at some point, I thought it would be a good idea to delete that mail, so I went to a mailbox... and found that PWI had given me a mount :-) Which, btw, I did not delete. Not using it a lot since it's still a ground mount, but every now and then it's still useful. Never had a cash mount before :-) And the highlight of the highlight was when I realized that this mount was apparently faster than some of the cash mounts, as I could often pass people on the cheap-looking mounts.

    Lowlight? Don't know. It's an F2P MMO"RP"G, so I'm not really expecting anything. Maybe when it became apparent that PW is actually the first game for me where soloing doesn't just mean you don't get uber-gear, but it also means you can't progress since the required bosses grow faster than you do. Doesn't change the fact that I hate powerlevelling and guilds, though.
    Slow progress, game is getting way too grindy :-( Quests I still hope to be able to do some day: FB39, General Feng
