I originally posted this under the Dreamweaver section. But then thought it might be more appropriate to be in here.

The idea is to utilize the chat room feature to help find squad or members. The most important thing is to be specific with your chat room name.

Suggestion box seems more suitable. Not the General Discussion or Dreamweaver sub-forum.

It is a suggestion for the PWI player populace to use an existing feature of the game rather than a suggestion for a new feature.

    Regards.

That's a really good idea - hopefully more people will use it for squad search instead of wasting teles and spamming on normal chat in Arch. The only drawback is that it is limited to the number of characters you can type into the subject of the chat room, and you can't use spaces. So its fine for things like RB, FCC, Nirv, FB/BH - but not if you want a certain boss to be killed since you can't fit in most long names. I'll help spread the word :)

    WTB /lfg channel.
Bladestorm lets you spin around like a carnival ride and do damage. Not using it is almost like having a move called Confetti Rocket Power Leap and saving it for "emergencies"

    Thank you all.

For this to start to work, let's all start setting up chat rooms. Let's make some noise b:victory

I might try advertising in Facebook too b:chuckle

Facebook advertising isn't effective at all ....... oh well

Anyway, because of the limitation that one can only create or be in 1 chat room at any time, I created a chat room for AllBHs today to attract more ppl to try my "squad finding service". I did have a few happy customers b:victory.

Unfortunately alot stayed for less than 1 min. They were expecting the chat room to be a real quick solution to find squad. Please understand that:

    1. You gotta stay inside long enough to be found.
    2. The chat room can be minimized and it blinks when someone types so staying inside will only do you good, not harm.
    3. If you think there are not enough ppl in the room, that's only because this is still a very new idea.

Initially, I'm hosting my "squad finding service" for the benefits for all PWI players (well, in Dreamweaver cos there's where I am). But eventually more ppl will create chat rooms for their specific needs, be it FC or RBGamma, or BH.

I can only be online in game for a few hours each day. So it would be really kind of someone to use this method while I'm not on, or someone try this in a different server. Please leave your comments in here b:thanks

While it's a nice solution for some, you have to realise that for others, it's not going to be as instantaneous as they would like. Many people shout and bellow for a good five minutes at the Head Hunter and when this fails, they find telecoustics.

The Head Hunter's platform has far more people on it, near it and flying past it then your chatroom would ever hold, so the first thing to note is people would get more 'advertisement' by continuing to cry for squads at the platform rather then join a chat. After all, the more who see it, the more chances there are of getting the squad you want.

There's also the fact that, surprisingly, the impatient people who bellow on the platform for five minutes or longer seem to genuinely think they are getting squads faster then people who ask their friends, utilise chatrooms or heck, use telecoustics. Maybe it's just because they're spamming every thirty seconds about the squad they need, IDK.

But it does mean that while your idea has potential, not enough people know about it and one too many are too impatient to try and us it. However, keep working on it, and maybe you'll get more people hearing about it.

This Sounds like a wonderful Idea. So does the WTB/WTB/WTT chat room. Personally, I would love to try to make this happen on Scantuary but first I have to lvl up a bit more. But I would be happy to try it then b:pleased

That's really not a new way...

The FB chat rooms have always been a place that people asked for squad help, but many people don't bother going or checking, or starting rooms for such things.... so blame the userbase if anything.
I post in forums. This one and others. That's why I post.

Yes, this is true, but only cos not enough ppl know about the chat rooms yet. Besides, players who gather near the Head Hunter platform want their BHs done. What about TTs, RBs, FCs .. etc ? I don't believe there's a gathering place for these higher lvl dungeons?

The chat rooms (if enough ppl use it) has ALL the benefits of world chat + it doesn't get pushed up your chat panel by the annoying Duke Shouts + it's visible even if someone is tuned in to only squad or faction chat + it's FREE

So this would be like rolling a snowball. If more ppl understand the benefits of this, more will use it. And the more they use it, the more effective this will be and so forth.
