New to PWI and would prefer not **** up all the skills lol
literally just created a cleric 10min ago and having fun messing around, doing starter quests.

Havent put points in would like to meet a cleric high lvl with knowledge of builds, seen many different ones here but dont want to choose and pick a fail build.

Im a hardcore RPG beastia that knows her mmos

My name is Jessica, I play a few other PWE games, but so far like PWI and JD, although my fondness for JD is rapidly wearing thin as GM's refuse or just don't care about giving us our new faction update.

And to admit, fashion there is ugly as sin, like the fashion here :)

Mounts and pets sure are prettier here as well, and loving the detail one can use to uniquely create their characters.

Any advice would be appreciated. Also seeking clan?guild w/e its called here and maybe someone to help lead me to become all powerful ;)

b:chuckle

TopMedic is the name I chose for my cleric as I'm a go to girl and like to get er' done!
Thanks for anything you can offer b:bye

(if it helps i posted this at 4:27 game server time (4:27 cali , usa)

    Welcome to PWI.

a good place to start would be the stickied thread.
only heal you'll need to max is iron heart, but feel free to experiment with everything.

and look at this once you start doing squad-based dungoens
    Aggro Mechanics Guide: pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=481682

you'll only need cyclone and plume shot as attacking skills, all else are optional

    hope all of these help
Thanks Chillum for the nice Sig.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

-.- geez let me offer my advice in peace lol

anyway a caution for you, if you do not max your IH, some people might call you noob.

also, about the buffs, max the physical defense, magical defense, magic attack (in that order) and the regen buff is optional(although it does save us some costs)

a general rule would be to put a point in everything because some of them serves as prerequisite to other useful skills

put 1 point into revive, and then maxing it is optional at lower level, but if you want people to be happy, you can max it as you level.

and don't just listen to me, the stickied guide is really the 1st place you should read up on clerics.

also, as clerics, we can solo well, but be sure to make some friends along the way or even get into a faction. you might need them later on

mana pot cost might be high so spend some time in farming herbs and get the mana regen apothecaries, it saves cost in the long run.

thats all i remember from my lower levels for now. good luck with your cleric.
Thanks Chillum for the nice Sig.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

like everyone said, ironheart blessing is the big one to keep leveled. with the other healing spells, pay attention to how well they work in the situations that you use them, and add a level or two when you think they're not as good as they should be. blessing of the purehearted...mine's lvl 2 at 80 and is right where i need it so...yeah. b:laugh

other than what everyone's already said, i think i'd suggest not ignoring elemental seal and dimensional seal, the magic and physical defense debuffs. they're not a huge priority because their usefulness while solo'ing isn't that great, but they're very nice to have during instances.

    From what i've picked up.

    Pure - 4 mag 1 str (9 mag 1 str every 2 levels)
A full mag cleric is a cleric who puts only as much strength needed for their weapon and armor and the rest of their stat points go into magic. Some clerics will go full mag because it heals for more and others will go full mag because they want high attack.

    Vit - 3 mag 1 str 1 vit (6/7 mag 1 str 2/3 vit every 2 levels)
instead of putting all stats into mag you also share these stats with vitality. Your stats as a vit build cleric can vary, you will still have the base strength needed for your weapon and armor. The thing about vit clerics is that you can put 50 vit or you can put 200.

    LA - 1 Strength 1 Dexterity 3 Magic
A light armor cleric uses stats so they can wear light armor instead of robes. The stats needed per level to wear light armor
He who seeks out revenge should first dig two graves.

    Hey welcome to PWI! b:pleased

As you can see the forums are very helpful. Whenever you have a question simply come here and we'll jump to help you b:victory

Iturothi has already told you the 3 possible builds for a cleric. Choose wisely as this will affect you game. A good clerics starts with the right build. Read the description and try to find the one that suits you the best. Be aware that there is no such thing as "best build". Everything depends on your playstyle and how well you know to play it. My personal recommendation would be to go for Vit cleric since this is your first time playing. Some vit would help you survive better untill you manage to learn your class. Of course you can choose whatever build you want, just remember you need to focus on you magic points and magic attack. Also take care of your mana as you will find it running out fast especially at lower levels.

The best way to start is to read the sticky thread over here Cleric Information for newcomers

It has some reading but it contains everything you need to know about clerics. You can read other players' replies as well for extra ideas but a lot of things will come in time as you gain experience of your own in the game. The guide provides a description for the Cleric skills as well but some of us already mentioned the most important skills. You'll see that as you level it will be hard to buy skills because you'll lack spirit or money so make sure you get the important skills first.

Clan/guilds here are called Faction. You'll be able to create your own by lvl 20 or join one anytime. I suggest that you join a faction which can help you with quests, bosses, call to duty quests and later if you feel that you need to make your own...go ahead!

    Enjoy playing the game!

That sticky is REALLY helpful. However, you might want to level Wellspring as an instant heal. Although Ironheart Blessing is what you should use as your main heal, Wellspring Surge can help when you need HP fast or in an emergency. Don't level Blessing of the Purehearted; it has a very long cast time and if you can easily die before you heal yourself.

Welcome to perfect world and the cleric class, yay!

I'll just point out a few things off of the top of my head. One of the bothersome things about perfect world is it seems to encourage you to need to rely on others. I myself like to do things alone most of the time, but its REALLY not an option for most classes (venos are excluded, yay for solo machines). I would suggest finding a nice mid sized faction from the start. A large (tw) faction either wont accept you or wont give a damn when you need bosses and such

I give this warning to every new cleric i see, so your no exception :D. The cleric class is very trying most days. First off its a bit tricky to get the hang of if your new to mmorpgs, babysitting all the other people is no easy job but youll get used to that. Another curse of the cleric are **** players. You really need to not get offended by other people to play this class, as your going to get blamed for any death in a squad, even if the person went leroy jenkins. Later in levels people seem to get better for this, dont be afraid to strut your stuff, your a cleric. If theres a **** running his mouth in a squad, either leave (your a cleric, youll find another squad easy) or boot the other person out(parties would rather be less a DD then the healer)

Im not trying to scare you off, its just some downside to being a cleric here. We also tend to BLEED money because of how many mana pots we need to gobble, so investing in apothecary skills (the game will bring them up in the early lvls for you) will help you greatly.
