    Not sure who that is directed at but, the point is that people can't deny that WC gets out of control and crosses the line.

    Dropping the F-Bomb or C-Bomb or whatever here and there is not the issue here.

    It is obvious that PWI GM do not monitor WC as tight as many people may want.

    I was raised in the ghetto so I was introduced to vulgar words early. Doesn't mean I curse that much or in a gang but u can't hide kids from the real world and the real world is a badly behaved place. Besides if people can't say things in real life like young kids they'll come on pwi and use their sweet time here to take full advantage :p
    I don't care how old or young you are, how small your **** is, how much of a nerd irl you are or how depressed you are that you never will get laid. There is no reason to act like an A-hole to everyone on an mmorpg. Its a shame that I have to take time out of my day to tell people "stop being an A-hole". So I end with this, if your acting like an A-hole, and some one tells you your being an A-hole chances are your being an A-hole.

    Nobody is talking about hiding the kids from the world. You seem to be taking this to the extreme. Try noticing what everyone is really talking about before you go all the way to one end defending something that most already agree with you on. b:thanks

    What people are talking about here is mainly the WC that gets into racial/religous issues. Those types of ranting and raving yelling matches on WC is not acceptable.

    If its racial and religous stuff we're talking about that's different. Stuff like that is unavoidable. All that stuff is usually started by a single troll looking for some hot smexy wc anger. Tbh I don't think mmos should be 13+ because immature kids shouldn't play mmos to be exposed to wc.

    Yep sending in a screenshot is the best way, though simply telling us the name of the offender as well as the time of the message would also be sufficient.

    to some extent i agree with the griping about tone. not because i care about an occasional f-bomb (or a not at all occasional one, either; Lenny Bruce had a point), but because it's too often used instead of actually thinking about how and why the insulter wants to insult their target. if you're gonna insult somebody, do it like Mark Twain did.

    This game is for ages 13+ so I'm assuming that everyone playing has at least a sliver of maturity. If someone says something that's flat out offensive then sure, report them. But if they're just having fun and the topic does happen to include sex or some other subject a lot of people don't like that's too bad. Suck it up and deal with it, I love talking on world chat and especially love being a perv. I do it all in good fun, sure sometimes I go a little far but if you're really THAT offended by what people say on world chat that's your own damn problem. As long as people aren't trying to disrespect or verbally abuse someone or a group of people on world chat then let them have their fun instead of being uptight about what people use world chat to say.

    For me it's not the bad language, but the vulgarity. The censors don't help any because you can just put a . or a * between the letters and still write out the whole word. I swear, it sounds like a drunk party in WC most of the time. If anything, they should at least get the people who are using graphically sexual phrases or words in their conversations. If you give them a cookie, they'll take the whole jar.

    Yea I usually don't always give useful info but not 100% of the time I BS around.

    Curse words are NOT the issue (I'm sure everyone knows most curse words by the time they are 6), the issue is (as someone pointed out) vulgarities. For example, an ex-guildie once said to me "-follows Typhyse around with a strap-on." I barely even know her in-game and she claimed that she didn't like me (likely story) so it clearly was a random statement, not an on going joke or anything like that. I honestly with things like this could be filtered, but alas, they cannot. The only way they can is to employ the kind of chat filter that Free Realms uses. But none of us what THAT, now do we?

    I personaly wish I could turn the swear word filter of I just find it annoying. I for one do not need restricting to what I see I would like to think I am old enough to brush off an insult or swear word.

    If WC offends or hurts you then no offence you need to wake up and see whats going on around you then put it in to comparsion over a few lines in WC

    Some people are more easily offended than others.

    I guess it's just a self-moderation issue. If people want to be courteous and respectful they will be, but not everyone is the same.

    There isn't really an issue here beyond that, it's just a topic to discuss. Nobody wants a filter system that's designed for toddlers.
