The Truth behind the online games

It's always the same tho. You begun to play a game, meet new and cool people and soon you are getting bored of it. But you are never getting bored of these people, and you try to keep connection with them. Yea, I've been playing many online games, but only some of them made it to my heart, if I can call it this way. I've been playing Freelancer for like 6 years. I've been playing in many servers, with many people. One of them was CrossFire. I begun as a newbie, wasn't speaking English, and barely understood something from the game. Things changed with time though. I joined a clan, fought for it, was defending it, and served loyal. I was one of the 4 players who stayed in the clan after it separated. And we got more than 25 players back then. I became a co-leader of it, and I tried to reborn it. My computer broke down. I needed a video card and a RAM. My clan leader sent me video card and RAM, and this man is living in the USA and have never met me. But he did it. I've been playing for a while, then got too bored of it. For around 6 years I got over 1500 hours online time. I made the bulgarian freelancer portal with the mission to gather all bulgarian players at one place. I created a freelancer server, so we can play. Two years later I found out that I've failed. The portal and the server are dead. Tru the last weeks I've been trying to play freelancer again. It's just not the same. The old buddies are gone, the fun is not around. I guess that some of you know how I feel. And I know that it will be the same with PW. Now I play, but nobody knows how the things will be in two weeks, right ?
Sorry for the thread, sometimes I`m thinking about the past much more than I have to. I miss all the great people I met back then. I miss everybody who helped me with something. I guess that one day I`ll miss you all too. That's the bad side of the online games. I`m getting related to people, and soon after that it's all gone. And nobody knows if I`ll ever meet them again ...

True, so true.
I experienced the same, almost exactly what you described (only the first lines though and with a different game (WC3 TfT). That was my very first game online... I met awesome people, had loads of fun, improved my English skills, joined Clans of friends, until I created an own Clan with others (I was the Co-Leader), Clan EEA existed for almost 3 years I think, it was getting inactive... and not even I could prevent that. All the active operators left one after another... and I was barely the only one who cared about the Clan. In the end the Clan was deleted by the system due to inactivity of the clan leader and the members...
I've been playing that game for 6 years, dropping out sometimes to play the well-known MMO of the same name and producer... well I could still play it, but my friendlist is somewhat dead and I don't like how the community there changed.
After WC3/ or rather meanwhile I started playing my first MMO.... (starts with W...ow come on you know it.), luckily I brought some old friends with me... well I never played on official servers, only private servers and to sum it up, after wandering from the first server, because my best friend had access to a GM account on another server, I came along... and after that server, I even had my own server... but it was rather boring after a while.
Little jump, now I'm playing PWI for almost 2 years, all my really close ingame friends
a) quit (just one, and I still have contact to him...)
b) changed servers
c) are rarely coming online// can't even enter (=> my best irl friend moved to a country which belongs to the banned regions...)
It's somehow sad... PWI isn't any fun anymore. And I don't have any other MMO I could go to... and I don't even have anything else to do. Last hope would be Forsaken World now or even GW2 ...0 -
Games are supposed to be fun. If you aren't having fun, then find something else to do. It's a harsh reality, but you might actually have to stop playing online games for a while. And when you feel the urge to go back, do it, see if anything's changed, and go on with it.
There's no point in getting all depressed over it.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

There are always two sides. Besides if you leave the game now, are you sure that everything will be same once you are back ?0 -

No, and that's the point. If things change, they could change for the better, and people always love things that are new and shiny as opposed to old and tarnished (like repetitive gameplay that is ALWAYS a part of online games).[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I think it's up to the person. There are people who love changes, but there are such who do not. I`m from the second type. By the way, I want to post a video here, I guess you will like it ( at least a little ) :
Ok, there will be two videos ^^
