Check the stickies. And according to one of the Barb Guides, check upcoming equipment for your stats. Put enough dex and str to wield your weapon and heavy armor and then put everything else into vit, at least for tank build.

Figure out which stat you have too much of, and put in str until everything is caught up

STR requirements are a little high at times for the starter levels, esp with NPC gear. once you get to around your 40s it evens out for STR = 3*level + 2 DEX = Level / 2 + 4~5

just add to STR the next couple levels till you can use the trial weapon, and keep your eye on the dex requirements for your armor.

Ty for the help, but what u said about watching the dex req. for the armor, does that mean it gets higher than the axes at times?

Just keep an eye on your own stats and compare them to what is required for armor and weapons. At early levels you can "fix" your build relatively quickly by leveling.

If you re-read the post you'll see that he said:

no mention of 3str 2 dex.

I added a comma so you can read it more slowly.

IIRC it does at times though it generally will match up precisely at most points. Essentially if you watch the dex requirements for your armor, youll have enough dex to equip the next pair of axes. Youll be changing out your chest, legs, arms, boots every 10 levels and if you stick to dual axes youd only be changing that once per 10 levels. therefore, make dex meet your armor requirements and you should be golden for the dex requirements of your next set of axes.

thanks for clarifying that for me. I wouldn't reccomend a silly build like what he thought I meant b:surrender

that formula I posted is how I check my build when adding points without having to run to the forges/merchants every time I level up. It just works to a T.

Not sure if it's too late, but you do realise, if you want to wear a 'Poleaxe' you'll need the build for poleaxes >.>
