Absurd lag

I've been out of PWI for like a month. I started playing again this week, but just barely...
Im getting horrible freezes all the time. Sometimes up to 30s or flat-out dc. Not really sure whats going on, as my internet works perfectly fine anywhere else as usual (Other games/browser/downloading). Only poblem i have is with PWI (which i didnt a month ago...my connection used to be flawless).
I asked around, and the majority of players apparently been having lag issues aswell. Has something happened in the past weeks, maybe an update or something, that is causing this? Its pretty hard playing like this. All i can do is play with archer hiing behind squads. If i solo or tank with my barb = death.

If anyone has any idea on how to fix this, i appreciate it. Sucks not being able to do the more interesting stuff like delta, nien or whatever cuz of this.

    I have no idea. I have constant lag spikes as well sometimes but I think the main reason is due to the crappy router.

    I usually don't have lag (except in archo cuz of those damn spam catshops xD) but yeah lately it's been lagging a lot and it helps me to get myself killed for many times in bh's so it's good if you have suicidal thoughts it makes it easier -__-'' but since I don't have those thoughts it's indeed annoying xD or maybe it's my pc that's getting old xD

    Yea I can't stand to play on my assassin. Usually I log on and after about ten minutes I say ** it and do something else.
    I don't care how old or young you are, how small your **** is, how much of a nerd irl you are or how depressed you are that you never will get laid. There is no reason to act like an A-hole to everyone on an mmorpg. Its a shame that I have to take time out of my day to tell people "stop being an A-hole". So I end with this, if your acting like an A-hole, and some one tells you your being an A-hole chances are your being an A-hole.

    I have been experiencing it the past week, also made me wonder why one of my reasons to quit HT and go to an east coast server was less lag
    But meh it will pass I guess

    servers suck... end of story... Sure i may have 30 ping.. but have terribad lag. Just shows how bad the hops are. And my graphics card is good.

    youl be surprised at the amount of idiots who will blame it on your system for graphics lag, when it is actually network choke due to the servers or routing

    apparently some cant tell the difference xD

    after the release of the Genies this has been an entirely different game play for me, constant stutter in west arch and minute freezing, never got any of that before.

    rule 1: if your gonna put a whole load more stuff on the game creating more stress and load on the servers, at least upgrade the servers to something more powerful so it can cope with it..

    If you have 30 ping, it's not the hops (the nodes connecting you to the server make up the total ping you get... try a tracert), in fact for 30 ping you're doing better than most. It's either the server or your system... most likely you're running your graphics settings higher than the card will permit with smooth frame rates.

    it completely the server's fault. I've also been having extremely bad lagg.

    i presume NOBODY... (read: NOBODY) heard actually about the damaged cords somewhere deep 20,000 leagues under the sea under that are causing this lag and stuff. many of ISP's (internet service providers) have their routing EXACTLY over the malfunctioning (atm) servers. WOW can u believe? wow whata coincidence...

    The funny thing is, ever since ibought my new pc 5 months ago (I3, Intel MoBo, 4gb RAM, 1GB asus vcard), archo been as smooth as anywhere else. Graphics arent the problem. Its just the heavy lag and freezes all the time. Even if i enter, lets say, TT instance alone ill lag the same way. All i've been able to do lately is hide behind squads or afk catshop. Not exactly fun :/

    Been a little busy lately. Wasnt aware of this issue. Guess thats the problem. Wonder how long it will take to fix an issue like that.

    on a side note..we played pwi without rubberbanding until Jade Dynasty was released (PWE game), which did it right away (i played it for like 2 months).

    So why wouldn't the release of another game cause even more types of lagg?

    i too have been getting this jittery lagg & it's almost constant..my com is not old, twice a week i perform maint on it, & i have almost always run PWI in its lowest settings. Now during Nein Beast event i turn off everything in system settings......on every tab & still have this jitter lagg.

    i'm not so com savvy but doesn't this mean PWE has to increase their bandwith?

    b:surrender I used to play PWI on some various laptops but mainly Macbook Pros. I had insane lag too. Like it'd run smoothly for a bit, then just freeze for like a minute or two. It sucked a ton.

    But I just got a new laptop recently and I've been playing on max settings and I haven't lagged or crashed at all. I'm honestly surprised b:surrender

    On the mysterious LAGG so many have been experiencing lately (for about the last week or so) i don't need to look at my clock to know that it's 10 am where i live.. because its 9pm in Malaysia. Apparently the regional Malaysian ban has been lifted since the release of this new PWE game http://hotk.perfectworld.com/ (about a week or so ago)... this is still in speculation, but on my end its adding up.

    This also makes sense to me now as to why the DQ price was adjusted.

    The rubberbanding is actually a server check that was introduced to stop jump/wall hacking, which runs rampant on Chinese servers.

    Basically, when your client-side character starts moving faster than the server can keep track of, it resets your location to where it
    'thinks' you should be.

    I just wish it was less severe.

    I'd like to agree with this cause i know it could then simply be removed ( i read that post too).

    If this were true then jumping or dis-mounting from a high altitude have the same effect.
