    • seeking experiences archers advise plz

    b:victory ok im a new archer but not a new player usualy i play assasin. nice and close to the mobs blah blah.
    however im changing mains due to boredom. i picked archer then realise JEEZ i actually feel like a noob!
    so i have some questions

    a) somebody told me not to level poison arrow skill but i like it! doesnt it help during a boss kill not to draw aggro?

    b) to VIT or not to VIT! so far ive stuck all but one per two levels on dex just like my sin but then been advised to stick points on vit. any opinions people?

    c) is there much point to leveling my knockback arrow?

    also any other advice would be welcome b:bye

      level knockback dont lvl poison arrow who ever told you add vit tell them to gtfo ^^ and read some of the guides in this section they are very helpful



      edit: forgot to say its 4 dex 1 str per lvl not 9 dex 1 str every other

      I disagree, I don't think it's advisable to level Knockback Arrow due to the fact that the range by which the target is knocked back does not increase when you level the skill.

      A) it's your poison arrow, do what you want with it. My experience is that DoT skills don't help much at all since you're killing mobs quickly by just normal attacks.

      B) I added vit at a lower level then re-statted about lvl 55. With adds my vit is 18. I rarely get hit more than once by anything other than ranged mobs.

      C)No point in leveling it past 1, in my opinion.

      I guess Mofoz already covered most of it but an alternate to knockback arrow.

      The knockback distance does not increase with higher lvls of knockback arrow, only the damage does. So from a pve perspective, some archers choose to keep it at lvl1 for mana efficiency. However if you feel you need that extra damage at the cost of higher mana usage, then go ahead and lvl it up. b:victory

      As a DD u are trying to deal the most amount of damage, so I say no to leveling your vit, and it'll save you the money later on when people need to buy reset scrolls to restat to pure Dex.

      Don't level poison arrow past 1, DoT skills for archers suck.

      Level knockback arrows only when all your other skills are leveled and you want demon version of it (i like it for the extra chi), but for all purposes, leveling it only increases your mp drain :).

      no dont level knockback, it just increases the mana consumation
      no dont level poison arrow, doesnt do much damage.
      the ~15% hp increase youll have over pure dex is hardly anything, you lose way too much damage. vit is stupid on an archer.

      advice to fledgling archers:
      Going sage is like drunken sex, at first she may look good, but when you wake up the next morning; you'll look at her and go WHAT HAVE I DONE.
