Pros and Cons?

Pros:
-We dish out pretty decent damage due to shorter casting time.
-Leveling isn't that hard as well (though I put my psy on hybernate atm lol)
-You get to know and learn control skills (stun ftw?)
-Buffs and debuffs are pretty nice too imo.

Cons:
-Mana burn is my major problem.
-Squishy (especially if you use BV)
-Brains play major part to choose which skill to launch at the appropriate time.

Being only 50, I'm yet to grasp the true nature of psychics.
Just hope that high level psychics who know pretty well what they're doing, to drop their two cents

Well, if you want some brief input from me, a successful 9x Psychic player:

Probably the biggest advantage of being a Psychic, is also what causes its biggest flaw. The class is meant to be played in a very unique and strategic manner. It has an answer for a wide variety of situations. However, in many cases using one solution will take away your ability to respond to certain other situations temporarily.

Examples:
-Predicting that your opponent will try to hit you with a dangerous effect, such as a Blademaster's Heaven's Flame. You respond by setting up Soul of Retaliation to reflect it back at him. Downside: you've lost access to one of your stun skills temporarily. (Soul of Retaliation and Soul of Stunning share the same cooldown period.)

-Casting Diminished Vigor on a target to decrease its survival chance. Downside: You've lost access to Empowered Vigor, as they share the same cooldown.

-Needing to go defensive against an incoming onslaught by casting White Voodoo. Downside: Getting any kills suddenly became a lot more challenging, because you just reduced your attack power by a large amount, in exchange for the defense gain. (There are strategies for killing while White Voodoo is active though.)

-Needing to kill things quickly (most of your career) by having Black Voodoo active. Downside: You're pretty much the squishiest class in game at the moment.


A lot of Psychic skills require you to temporarily sacrifice one advantage, in other to temporarily gain a different one. Other skills simply require you to use them at the right opportunities. This makes us versatile, but it makes the class harder to play at endgame. You need to have good reflexes, be able to analyze your situation quickly, and make the right decisions at the right times. This is especially true in PvP. It's a good class for tacticians like myself, but its not a class that everyone was meant for. I've personally only met a handful of other high level Psychics that I didn't think were either misinformed or just plain failures. b:surrender
