I dont know where my Character went!

I had a character a Barbarian almost level 50 i think way back when, and i redownload the game and its nowhere to be seen!
What can i do to get it back?

    Make sure that Server thingy on the top be set to "Sanctuary" and log on.

    Haha yea i tried that still no luck, and i even found out my characters name, it was like xstewiex and i had a wizard that was xMosesx but neither of them are appearing
