What's the highest attack speed an archer can reach without the use of skills?

without skills how fast can an archer hit and what gear would be needed to it?

    5 attacks per second, using fists/claws.

    You'd need almost every possible source of -interval in existence though, since you'd need a total of -0.50 interval between hits and you can have at most -0.55 of interval on all your equipment combined.

    I suggest you take a look at Archer Attack Speed Basics. It doesn't have an exhaustive list of the gear available though.

    2.5 hits per sec with bow, due to animation limits. its impossible to get that much anyways.
    AP classes are a real butt pounding...

    1.18 attacks per second with a slingshot, 1.05 aps with a bow, or 0.95 aps with a crossbow. That's with a -0.10 interval between hits property on the weapon, and the following equipment:

    TT99 LA (Ashura) Wrist and Boots
    TT99 HA (Lionheart) Necklace and Belt
    Rank 8 Chest
    Recast Nirvana LA leggings
    Love: Up and Down or Pan Gu, Creator Tome
    Energetic Robe: Wraithgate, Abaddon, Torment, or Lunar Glade.

    A nirvana sling still has the same attack speed as a regular sling. All three numbers in my previous post are assuming you have -0.10 interval between hits on the weapon, which to my knowledge is the most you can realistically get. It's theoretically possible to get 3x-0.05 interval on an OHT sling, but good luck with that.

    the abscence of any other mods, as well as the lower dmg from oht vs nirvana would make the interval gain useless anyway.

    as for what is theoretically possible with oht, i have no idea. but getting all the oht interval would be extremely hard. i'm convinced that even with oht, it would not be possible to get -.05 x3. some mod combinations are probably blocked, and some mods are probably blocked altogether (as an archer, qqing about how there are no sacrificial strike bows).

    @brigid: i dont think i've ever seen an endgame archer with a slingshot.

    You're right, at least according to PWDatabase. I misremembered the possibilities for a Haze Dispeller, and the most you can get is a single -0.10 mod.

    As far as a Nirvana slingshot goes, it appears you can get 2x -0.05, but Soul Shatter isn't available to slingshots.

    Actually, you can only get 2 of the -0.05 interval mods. Nirvana always comes with one of the Unique Addons and 2 of the normal ones.
