Login Problem.

When I try to log in, it says 40 seconds until timeout, and it counts to 21 then says cannot connect to server.
The weird thing is, when I look at the server list, it doesn't even show the population or anything.
I've already done the verify thing on the launcher.. I reinstalled, did the verify thing again, still won't work.

Any suggestions? b:shocked

    Have you added an exception for elementclient.exe and patcher.exe to your Antivirus, Firewalls, Peerguardian etc?

    My firewall is off, and norton antivirus doesn't work anymore lol. I had a 60 day trial but it ran out :P and I've gone through all the DEP stuff I turn that off also.

    I have a similar problem, the only difference being the counter goes all the way to 40 seconds before saying 'Unable to login' or something to that effect.

    Purple and green update bars on launcher are full, but the launcher home page doesn't load (internet working fine) and the server status is not shown.

    I have updated launcher/client to 358 and then verified files fully.

    Please help!

    Soo, that's 3 people with the same problem.. interesting..
    btw, if it's any help to the solution, I'm using windows 7.

    -SOO if anyone has anything to add could you please post a reply. I'll be monitoring this topic all day!

    That's pretty much the deal here, no information on the servers,
    I try to login, after 20 seconds it says "Unable connect to server".

    Are you using Windows 7 or Vista? Are you running the program as administrator, and are your UAC settings disabled?

    Okay, I just turned off the UAC, and I'm going to reboot.

    Could you please provide us with a trace route from your computer to our servers?

    1) In XP, click on Start > click on Run (In Vista/7, click on the Windows icon/Start > click on Search) > type in "cmd"
    2) On this screen type in (exactly as it is typed here): tracert pwieast1.perfectworld.com (You can use any of the IP addresses to our servers that are listed below. Try several.)
    Please note there is a space between "tracert" and "pwieast1.perfectworld.com"
    3) Wait for the traceroute to complete.
    4) Right Click on the window
    5) Select the "Select all" option
    6) Hit "Enter"
    7) You will now be able to paste the text into your reply.
    8) Include in your post what Internet Service Provider you are using and what part of the world you are trying to connect from.

    @Toastee, looks like you are being blocked at your computer or local network as no traffic is getting out.

    See if any of this info might help you all...

    Add the game folder and/or game file to the exceptions list in your firewall or antivirus software.

    Example: C:\Perfect World Entertainment\Perfect World International

    You also might need to temporarily disable your antivirus, MS Security Essentials or Windows Firewall long enough to get into the game, and then turn it back on. Sometimes disabling may not help and you will need to add an exception for the game folder.

    It might be Windows, Windows Firewall, Admin (such as running the game as Administrator), UAC, network, or antivirus settings that you will need to change so that they aren't blocking or throttling the game.

    You can also try changing your proxy settings for Internet Explorer 8, to have them turned off here: Tools > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings > and then untick all of the proxy settings.

    If you still need additional help, please Search our Knowledge Base for the terms mentioned above. Let us know what you tried and what errors you got when you reply to us.

    Well I tried all of that and it didn't work. :/
    none of it changed a thing.

    I also tried reinstalling again.. even though it was hopeless anyway.. b:cry

    Could it have something to do with Time Warner?
