simple gameplay question

for reasons i won't get into, i only have 1 arm/hand. so my question is...
can it be played with primarily the mouse? i can let go of it occasionally and press a key but not very often (or if it's timed or hurried).

thoughts?

    Yes, for the most part. Typing may be difficult, but that's a given. All the skills and actions can be clicked through the use of shortcut bars.

    Let's see.

    To move and use the camera, you could use the mouse, no problem.

    When it comes to fighting however, spamming skills (even if you use macros), kiting or escaping from a gank is not simple at all with only one hand.

    I also wonder how you would set autopath via the map too, since it's Alt+left click.

    Anyway, good luck and enjoy the game.

    Its quite possible to play with just a mouse but of course during most intense situations you will most likely be ousted just by reaction time.

    But then, perhaps you are extremely fast with just one arm. Try the game out and see what you think for yourself.

    other than text chatting, the game can be played entirely with the mouse. mind you, text chatting can be pretty important in finding squads and factions to play with --- although if you're careful and selective, you can get into a faction that uses voice chat extensively, which would be a good move in any event. if your mouse has a spare button (fourth or fifth button), you can usually set that up as the "push to talk" button in your voice chat program; this works well for me, at least.

    using the mouse for both character movement and skill selection will slow you down a little, since you'll have to sling the pointer around a lot. but it's doable, and i sometimes resort to it myself when i'm gaming too late at night and don't want to turn on a light. (not a touch typer.)

    in theory the game is fully playable with the keyboard alone, but i've never tried that. i suspect it'd be harder than mouse-only. i have no idea how one would cope with keyboard-only when the action gets hectic; mouse-only would be much more doable then, although still not ideal.

    some people play the game with a touchpad, like laptops have. i can't begin to guess how, but they do.

    personal opinion: trackballs are wonderful, wonderful devices that stay in one place next to your keyboard and take up little space because they never move. if i had to game one-handed, i suspect i'd be very grateful for my trackball. (unless it was my left hand, because the trackball's right-handed.)

    TL;DR: yes, one-handed play should be doable. a little cumbersome, probably, but not impossible.

    Maybe this will help you some...

    There are special gaming mouse you can buy that have about 16 keys. You can assign specific keys such as function or number buttons and you could get F1-F8 and number 1-8.
    Those are the main keys I use for skills that I use the keyboard for. I also have random stuff assigned the the secondary bars but only click them as necessary. So I would say it is possible to play with only a mouse.

    Also, an on-screen keyboard (most operating systems have one) would help alot in terms of certain functions

    you can press K and a menu comes up you can change any command in the game to one key or more than one key like ALT-(insert key here) So given the options to reconfigure the setup it can be rearranged to fit your preference.

    the game has a lot of hot key functions that you can use to change the gameplay to your style. Yes, the game can be played using jsut a mouse besides typing ofc. it's actually better in some cases to use a mouse due to the reaction time (faster to click on a monster than tab through them)

    Lol I usually only use the mouse(1 hand) in almost everything and manage fine...
    Typing aint that hard with the same hand.
    Also, it seems that in desperate situations I can use a toe in autopathingb:shocked or try keeping something heavy on alt.
