((Note- the title was going to say we're here, we're q*ueer, but apparently that's censored. Wow, really?))

I am fully aware that getting same-sex embracing is difficult, since you (game administration as a whole) probably do not have any graphic designers worth their salt who can fiddle around with the positioning enough to make a half-hearted hug between folks of the same gender.

HOWEVER- Same sex marriage? It's not graphics, it's simply code. You have coders. Make it happen.

Even if that means potential ****, ****, or just friendly couples of the same gender need to open a ticket to get married if you can't get it to work ingame- it should be done. It should have been done ages ago.

Yes, the original version of PW was not made in a country where **** and **** rights are as high priority as they are here, but that's no reason not to fix it now that it is fully within your power. This is a HIGHLY WANTED SUGGESTION. Seriously, take a poll- it will rank right up there with male venos and female barbs. This is at the very least within your control.

You know what else it will do? Probably massively boost marriage pack purchases. It's a lucrative change, don't keep us waiting.

Now get a move on, before we have to lay the LBGTQ wrath down.


((Afterthought- Please, un-censor the words q*ueer and h*omo. They aren't offensive, and it's really a pain to have to skirt around censors for words that someone may WANT to use to describe themselves.))

    I can get people ranting over basically un-changeable things like untamed gender issues and embracing getting annoying, but the marriage function is purely a coding problem. I'm sure they could even get volunteers to fix it for free if they so pleased. It's just a matter of the admins initiative.

    Ok....here's the thing...

    You would have to change it so 2 Bride packs would make the Marriage Quest complete itself.

    It isn't a coding problem, it's a cultural problem. I'm sure it could be done fairly easily, but would require homosexuality to be acceptable in China, which isn't so easy.

    No, see, we do. The people working for PWE can't just go and alter the game whenever they feel like it. What we get comes from the devs in China, and as far as I know there aren't any exceptions made (except for the compensation we're meant to receive for lowered DQ prices, which we haven't yet). In order for same sex marriage to be available in this version, it would first have to be made available in the Chinese version. Seeing as that's incredibly unlikely in the foreseeable future, the same can be said for this version.

    isnt that stupid? and i doubt it's true.
    I mean, the devs in china should be able to change the code only for the us version and not the chinese, why would they restrict themselves?

    funny how ppl are so full of themselves, build up theories about culture, programming issues and swear that it will never happen and those that want it should shut up.

    personaly i believe that marriage should not exist at all.
    marriage is a strong word, not something that should be ridiculed
    but that's cultural. i dont expect neither desire a company to value culture over profit

    it isn't just a matter of the US PWE guys changing things - they are OWNED by PWB. Certain changes will be allowed (localization etc) certain changes will not (same sex marriage/embracing etc) but even these have to be authorised by home office ;)

    btw.. are same sex marriage permitted in ALL the states of the USA yet? Fix that then maybe just maybe you will have a case for coming on here shouting want! want! want!

    As I stated before elsewhere, it's their game and their rules. They decide what goes in the game, not us.

    You probably need to know about this game before posting this sentence because it just showed that you have no clue how the coding thing works because the GMs can't change anything unless they get a signal from the Devs in China.

    PWi is just simply more or less the translation to PW (Chinese version)

    So the cultural problem comes from China not Dyskrasia lol

    Ok.

    In order to get same sex marriage and embracing in this game, you'd probably have to write a letter to the Chinese government about your views on same sex marriages in general - which is a no no in China. They already censor their internet, took away Google, and treat their women like ****. As much as people want it, it won't happen unless China lightens up. We Americans can't tell their country what to do as much as they can't tell us what to do.

    It's a much-wanted idea, but if the devs were to give in and implement this, we might lose the whole game if the government gets wind of it. So just have your same sex relationships in real life - it's much better than pixels, anyway.
