Buying a nix/herc

I doubt i'll ever get oneXD because as a poor collage student, i cringe at the thought of just how much ramen $250 can buy.

But i thought i would ask in case i ever come into a lot of disposable income. So i hear that either nix or herc costs about..$200-250 each if you use cash shop. My question is, wouldn't it be more like $500? Im not sure how the pet packs work, but it seems like it can give either source of force or nix feathers at random, meaning if your aiming for a nix...you might end up getting almost all source of force and no feathers and vice versa, and need to buy tons more packs

Maybe there's a way to choose, im fairly noob at veno. *hides behind her cleric*

I suppose you could sell which ever you wernt after and use the money to buy the ones you wanted...but trying to sell thousands of nix feathers/ sof sounds like it would take ages......

You can exchange feathers for the herc thingy and the other way round.

if your gonna trade for the opposite of what you have you will need 100 lets say you wnt some SoF for a herc but you have 100 pf instead well just go & trade it for 100 SoF i believe at the pet manager if im not mistaken if i am do correct me

Each of the Battle Pet Packs give between 10-50 Source of Force (SOF) or Phoenix Feathers (PF) at random. The average number of SOF/PF per pack is about 20-30 depending on luck. You can also buy the SOF/PF individually from the catshops or the Auction House in the game. On my server it's about 7.2-8k but this is only because of the sales. It would probably rise to 8-8.5k after sales. It could be cheaper to convert your gold to in-game coins and then buy it this way. Just wait until gold is high.

The Pet Manager in any major city has a free quest where you can switch Source of Force to Phoenix Feathers or Phoenix Feathers to Source of Force in batches of 100.

If u like spend 24hr everyday to get herc/nix u can do this:

farm mats + grind ALL THE FOOOKINg day..xD in 100 days
u make 1m -2m a day..if u work good u can make up to 3m-4,5m

or do TT 2-3 times ..everyday.

Except not everyone can leave their computer and game running all night long. Some of us actually need to pay electric bills and turn things off when they aren't being used. Merchanting is a limited source of income if you have to turn your game off every night. And not to mention that you can't play the game if you are catshop. Not everyone has mutiple computers that just sit around with a game open for catshops.

Merchanting isn't a viable means of income for everyone. Farming on the other hand IS.

I don't know what kind of rig your running, but my 7 year old dinosaur uses less electricity than one 60 watt light bulb. My refrigerator uses up more juice than that.

sometimes I wish my laptop was better at saving electricity. I still need a better fan >.<

But anyways, back on topic, it is definitely possible to gather all 9999 SoFs and Feathers with just in game coins. The time to do it is outrageous but you'll feel very accomplished by the end.

If I may ask, how does farming mats get you that much money? By selling mats in cat shop or using them to make items and selling the items?

It really depends on what kind of mats you're talking about and what you're making out of them. Yea, farming them takes awhile and ppl sell a lot of them in the cat shops.

lol ..i heard..its fun save up for somthing..but w u get it and some days later u get bored..o.o

mats: sub mats are good..DON't make them to sub cuz sub is 45k each..
Those subs mast..alone can be worth 60k!

Which is why I got so bored from merchanting and selling my ****, that I just got the last few with gold b:chuckle
