Ok, so at level 90, if I choose the second option "Mysterious Cog" instead of the Cube rewards or whatever, do I still get the 1million exp reward, or do I just end up with a useless item?

You need 30 cogs of fate and some Warsoul fragments to make the cube of fate necklaces.

Or I'm thinking of the wrong item.

If you chose the disabled cog, you take it to room 60 of the cube and trade it in for the rotating cog of fate (30+warsoul mats make cube necky). Rooms 50-60 can get insanely expensive but are also INSANELY easy. I am currently at 25 cogsb:pleased

Sometimes people are also selling the room 58 medal in cube entrance, it can be saved between runs as long as it doesn't leave the cube.

Doing room 51-60, make sure to have around 1.5 mil coins, 10 do-all (plus any you might need in rooms 1-50), and it should pretty much be a cakewalk. Doesn't always cost that amount, and sometimes you can get lucky and make money in one armed bandit and the one after, but all it takes is hitting room 59 to make it expensive.

On the plus side, during your 51-60 runs, you can also save up lottery coins to make a G13 cube necklace that isn't tradable or cash shoppable. Not as good as normal cube necklace, but a whole lot more respect at least :)

Is it true that you can also trade this necklace for a rotating cog?

Also, is it worth trying to get a cube necklace this way, if its going to be 45mil to get 30 cogs, and around 60mil for the warsoul pieces?

If you do not have 10 do-all cards you can get the cube tag and teleport back to the begining and leave it on an alt for the next day. (Or you could try selling it. Or you could try buying one from someone else. But remember that they can get one for 10 do-all cards and if they are smart they would not want to pay a higher price.)

You can trade a badge made from 80 lucky coins for a rotating cog of fate. Or you can trade 79 lucky coins for a rotating cog of fate. And yes, the cube necklace will be expensive. If you can get one cheaper you of course should...

Suppose if you are lucky you can get one for nothing more expensive than 1 gold and a right-click...

Fuzzy sees many people complaining about how easy it is etc to get almost anything these days. Me does realize it is probably more expensive to farm since some of the warsoul mats will need to be chipped, but hey, Fuzzy will be happy with himself for actually working a bit to get his cube neck.

3 more times through room 60 here me come. b:victory

1.5 mil isn't expense of every trip, it's a rough estimate of hitting too many rooms. And room 59 is 600K of the alone. Trips are usually 600-800K without hitting room 59, plus 10 do-alls. And there are two rooms where you can win money, those are where you can earn from going through. So you're paying on average less than 1 mil per cog, and also getting 1-2 lottery coins for a decent necklace, and earning book credit cards for old book pages to sell or use. The biggest issue is that with the rewards revamp, it makes it that much more punishment to choose cog over reward pack. They didn't boost cog choice at all.
