Keyboard strat/order of spells...

its totally based on personal preference, I put most of my damage skills on one bar, and then skills like FoW/sleep/fly etc on the other. Its usually a good idea to put the skills that need to be used quickly, or used alot on the hotkeys.. but again just whatever makes you comfortable. Here is a pic from a while ago (I'm too lazy to go take a new screenshot), and my hotkeys are almost the same, just filled in a few of the empty spots

I personally keep my left hand on the w/a/s/d/ keys for movement and the right hand on my mouse.. then use mostly my left hand to hit all my hotkeys. You can't move while you're using skills anyway.. and the mouse is often useful to hit non-hotkeys or switch targets etc. It's up to personal preference ofc

Okay that's what I changed it too.

Well see what I'm wondering is this, a wizard needs to hit hard, and as quick as they can, but they also need to use their CC spells. So if your out there in a TW or PVPing, what's the fastest way to attack/cc/heal? Is it by clicking on your spells, or stop moving and using hotkeys? If so, which hotkeys? The numbers or F keys?

At this point you need to just need to experiment and find what works best for you.

i find it useful to have distance shrink on 1 2 3 or 4 as they are close to WASD movement keys..
thought about expel/domain on 1-4 too but, too lazy to change-.-

lol. F Skills lined up in the order you got them? That's how I do it too.

Ok, so anyone use the ~ and "v" keys to toggle your hot key bars? or do you just use the mouse to click those?

also, I think the op recognized that there was more than one way to skin the cat here, I think they were looking for examples. How about if you list your tw/pw skill bars in this template? Here's mine, although I too am not sure I am happy with them

f1: distance shrink
f2: fly
f3: pick up
f4: call mount
f5: wizzie heal
f6: apoth (usually spark pots, etc.)
f7: Mana pots
f8: health pots

1: gush
2: pyro
3: stone rain
4: wotp
5: glacial embrace
6: sandstorm
7: force of will
8: whisper
9: sutra

Add me to the list that has distance shrink at f1 b:victory

my shields, wellspring, etc. are in the second row above the bar with my f1 skills. my nukes, undine, sparks are in the second row above the # keys.

my third rows are filled with the others, grouped by element, any other apoth and some macros i use mostly for pve.

Me also has emotes like dance on me skill bar rotation.

more of a button-presser than clicker so all my attacks are on 1-9, f1-f4 for misc (shrink, fow, sutra, whisper)
having wotp 6, pyro 7, div pyro 8 makes sutra nuking extremely easy, i tap:
1, f3, 8, 7, 6, 8, 7 = 5 attacks with 1 sutra

i dont ever rotate the skill bars, if something isnt on keyboard i simply click it. i.e. ults on 2nd # bar

the way my keyboard is setup is f2 is over 1, f3 over 2, etc.
9 reset to V,
8 reset to X
*f1 reset to ` (for the moment)

fingers on wasd
setup revolves around middle finger on gush primary / SR tertiary
ring finger for ` and/or f1
ring finger for Distance Shrink and FoW
middle finger for SR and SS
middle finger on gush and GS
index on pyro and DP
index finger for WotF and sutra

i might reset a slot for undine: `
and a slot for sporific whisper: f1
i dont know what to do with elemental shell* yet

the teeth(grind) macro is gush/pyro
the other blue macro is chi building: frostblade/morning dew

V is currently pickup and
X is currently fly

Adroit's skillbar is eerily similar to what mine was. I should have put blink on a hotkey also, but then again, this was before sins and the prevalence of 5aps so I could get away with spam clicking.
