Speed Clarification

Well I'm an Elf Archer and my base speed is 5.2 m/s
If you use Seraphic mist on normal speed it's +2.5 m/s
That means I'm travelling at 7.7m/s?
Also, on land mount, their speeds are like 11 m/s (ancient boa lvl 11), is that THE speed or +11 m/s?
I'm a little confused as land mounts seem ALOT faster than my wings.

All speeds are what they are with what you are doing...
Walking speed = 5.2 m/s
Flying Speed = What stated on your wings
Mount Speed = What is stated on your mount (and yes land mounts are always faster)
PS --> Speed pots only work on you classes speed running[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

So my seraphic mist speed is 7.7m/s? Is that correct? And I should travel 11 m/s on a boa boa?0

-.- No...
Your wings are the speed on the wings = 2.5
Your walking on land speed = 5.2
^ you do not add them together for in flight
Your Boa = 11 m/s[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I almost positive that is incorrect.
The speed on your flight mount is not 3.00 it is specifically listed as +3.00
Which would mean you go an additional +3.00. Otherwise noone would use the fliers as they are significantly slower than just running. And I can gaurantee if I flew somewhere next to someone running I'd get there first.
Your flight mount is +3.00(or whatever it's speed says) to your regular movement speed. There is already a post about this.
Your land mount however I do not think is added to your running speed. I believe that is what it says. 10.0 or whatever. So it would be run 5.2, fly 8.2, land mount 10.0 -
Flying mount speed is added with your land speed. Land mounts does not get added.0

Yea my friend told me how the speed of a flying ride is added on to ur walking speed(excluding the speed buffs)0

If this is true then why do you fly soo dam slow with the reward wings at normal speed +0.50........ and why do you need to feed your wings to get the fast speed
You can try this making a race with another one with better wings than yours and another one running /walking at land............
Like the veno said I can go there more faster walking!!
Fly speed is for fly mounts, if you are flying you get the fly mount normal speed or fast speed if yopu switch it on.
When you summon your land mount you get the pet speed.
And when you are walking/running you are doing it at the chara info speed that depends about your class.
The max speed from game is 15m/sec that you can get with pills / genie holy path.
Usually land mout has better and more faster speed than your running one[SIGPIC]C:\Users\Fatima\Pictures\neivindicatequickfix.png[/SIGPIC]0 -
Flying speed = 5 + speed of wings.
In your case, you're flying at 7.5m/sI was early taught to work as well as play,

i suspect, myself, that not only is flight speed added on to your ground movement speed, but it's added on after speed buffs and not before. venos can try flying the same course with and without summer spirit enabled, for instance.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] Heaven's Tear alts: KenLubin, Sou_Hon, JudyCaraco --- level 5x chars.0

Most speed enhancements will NOT work with flight, they are ignored completely. The exceptions are genie skills specifically designed to enhance speed and Flight Mastery, which only works with the starter and elven wings.
And yes, your total flight speed is Base Land Speed + Flight Speed. In the case of a cleric using fully upgraded Sparklebright wings, thats an unhasted speed of 7.3, hasted would be 9.8.
Mounts are always faster. Arguably its a technical issue because of the farther distance visible when in flight, but more likely its to make mounts a bit more attractive as a means of transport.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

The reason you feed your wings for faster speed is for air PvP. The slightly faster speed matters when you're chasing someone/being chased.
And I'm fairly certain, you fly 5.0m/s + the speed of your wings.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Mounts can be faster or slower depending on the situation. If you are on a mountain that is jagged, you would probably want to use an aerogear so you go in a linear path, not a curvy one.
Also, going uphill is the same speed as going downhill (Jumping is always a factor).
However, mounts work great on flat (or nearly flat) land, and they can go upwards of 11 m/s.List of my territory war videos:

I find that flying feels slower when I'm high in the air, because the hight distorts my perception of my surroundings. Ever ridden in an airplane? You don't feel like you're going fast in those things, either, although really you're flying at high speeds.
If I fly close to the ground, though I find I'm actually going faster than I would by walking, even with regular wings.
It is true that a Veno with Summer Sprint on can run faster than a regular flying mount. But without speed buffs, the flying mount is faster, even if only by a little.Director and Webmistress of Faction Tramonto0 -
Yes it may seem as though you are flying slowly but do like I said.
Have someone start at same place as you on ground but have you on flight mount. Run forward for a few seconds. Trust me you on your flight mount will get there before the person going at regular run speed. You ARE going faster. It's just your perception from the air that makes it seem slow. (Refer to the airplane reference posted earlier, it's exactly right).0 -

Movement Speed + flying speed + *certain skills* = your speed.
You can fly faster than a mount can run. Thus far, mounts are capped at 11m/s. Max travel speed is 15m/s. Tested in TW, back when I did them. My speed was following:
4.8m/s (base) + 6.2 m/s (hasted of course) + .6 m/s from equipment = 11.6 m/s
It looks like it wouldn't make a difference, but tell that to the mounts that I flew over and made it to the towers first.[In a distorted place and time][The knife that stabbed me in the back grants me wings]
