Mistake?

I recently started a LA cleric and I love the way she plays. I've done AA cleric in the past and I absolutely hate how squishy she is...However, I see everyone giving advice to start out as an AA cleric..and do the 9 mag and 1 str thing. Should I stay with a LA cleric or reroll as an AA?

P.S. I did a calculation of stats and it is possible to have a LA cleric with same level weps and equipment...and you don't lose as much mag att as some may think. That is one of the reasons I started as a LA.

    I have a LA lvl64 cleric and its ok but its still sort of squshy and its not really that strong, I'm always asking for help with stuff. I'm about to re stat it at 70 to arch for the better mag def/att and shard the phy def. I think no matter what clerics are squishy to begin with, they arent a tank or dd class its support so it doesn't have great phy def. I think the none squishy good stuff is around late 80's and up, hopefully I'm wrong and they get less squshy before that.

    LA clerics are okay for attacking because of the added criticals. HOWEVER, their healing ability suffers because, as I mentioned before in another thread, is based off their LOWEST Magic Attack rate.

    It's not a 'mistake,' just another way/build to play a cleric.

    If it works for how you play and how you know you can cope with the PvE aspect then go for it. I've never seen an high level LA Clerics since most restat before going all the way to the end (unless someone here has a very successful LA Cleric ^^)

    I've never tried a LA Cleric personally-might tinker w/ one in my spare time *laughs*

    If you like it, go ahead and play it. Just save up a few mil for a restat at around 80-90, because that's when phys def is more dependent on sharding.
