Having hard time healing - help appreciated

So I've tried running Cave of the Vicious for the first time, with couple high levels (70+) and one lvl 51. I have actually never played this game before, but they joined because of some quest which gave double xp or something.
Anyway, I noticed that healing that instance would be almost impossible for me if we were all around lvl 20, even tho I played as a high end healer in most MMORPGs.

The largest issue is my character queueing spells , so if I double tap that healing over time spell while it's still casting, she would start casting the same spell second time right after first one. Is there any way to turn that off?

Also, what's up with spell activation delay? It takes like half a second-second to start casting a spell after I pressed it. It feels like the game is lagging, while it's not. Any solution to this?

And finally, is there a way to make hp bars of party members bigger? I run fairly high resolution (1920x1200), and the bars are barely visible.
Are there any UI mods for Perfect World?

I like healing, and I would like to continue, but I'm really discouraged by those issues :(

    Nope, only thing you could do is just tap it once.

    Also, what's up with spell activation delay? It takes like half a second-second to start casting a spell after I pressed it. It feels like the game is lagging, while it's not. Any solution to this?

    I'm also particularly annoyed by this, but that's just how it works.

    And finally, is there a way to make hp bars of party members bigger? I run fairly high resolution (1920x1200), and the bars are barely visible.
    Are there any UI mods for Perfect World?

    Not sure about the resolution, but tampering with the client files is against the ToS.

    Okay, first, if they are above level 50 even, they shouldn't need a great healer. In fact, they should be able to cover themselves with just pots.

    Next, I assume the heal that queuing was Ironheart Blessing. That is the only heal you want to use while healing during boss fights. No matter how you combine skills, that will heal the best out of all of them, with the exception of BB (Regeneration Aura). However, the reason it queues and casts again is that with such short cooldowns, your skills automatically select do to slight lag between you and the server. The same goes with the delay.

    However, you cannot make the HP/MP bars bigger, so it is best to just watch it as best you can or adjust your resolution while playing.

    For UI mods, I believe they are considered to be against the ToS as well.

    Well, it's hard to tap it once because of spell activation delay, you dont know for sure if the spell is actually going to cast. And I always tap spells more than once when I need to react fast.

    I have fast reflexes and can react to sudden changes, but this kind of gameplay just dumbs it down to how your good tank is at keeping creeps on him, guess I'll just reroll and play something else :(

    No need to reroll. Just let it cast quickly four times, wait a few seconds, cast again two times, then just put a second between every two casts. It's not that difficult, and eventually you will get the hang of it. Once you get used to the way this game works, you'll be alright.

    u will have to learn to press just once


    and be happy - lag was even worse some time ago (before tb patch?)

    switching between toons took like 1s so often -even when u were cautious- u put spell on wrong toon

    Instead of just tapping once, just activate the next skill in your rotation.

    Hmm, I never thought of putting my heals in a macro.....I have my buffs in one, though. Interesting idea, but I don't know if I'd like using it yet.

    its very useful when nature starts calling you during a long boss.

    i wish they would increase the macro slots cause i dont have enough..........

    If I'm healing, I'll hit the button to IH, wait for the channel bar and then hit it again. That way the next heals happens as soon as possible. I've noticed that if you wait you get that delay in casting.

    Don't know about macros though - perhaps when you're 100+ and can survive an errant aggro
