the reason i am making this thread in this section is to assure that a gm will see it and respond with appropriate actions.

recently a fellow member of my faction Kylin on harshlands server invested a high amount of money into your company to transfer his +11 refine from his lunar bow to his new second recast nirvana bow. then proceeded to manufacture a +12 dragon orb to take his +11 bow to +12 might i add he did this with out a d. orb sale. the amount of money he has spent to do this is well over 800 dollars. now in the process of refining his new bow there was a simple mistake made that he used his +12 orb to +1 his lunar bow that he had just transferred the +11 refines from. he has since tried to talk to a gm about fixing the problem and was basically told he was out of luck and that his money he invested into your corporation was wasted. this does not in anyway sound like the game i have fell in love with and invested my time and money into to have an enjoyable experience. this is really a shock to me as i was just today going to look into buying some zhen my self to get the orbs to +12 my nirvana daggers when i get them, i was seriously considering spending about 500 dollars into your corporation my self. but to be informed of this atrostic act against one of your biggest investors and one of my biggest friends i dont know if i want to play this game anymore let alone spend money in it. alot of other fellow gamers feel the same about this and were refusing to invest anymore money into this game until this problem is fixed and possibly report it to the B.B.B. if it was accidently using a +2 orb to refine to +1 i would understand not wanting to help but the most expensive orb for something people only use mirages to get?

When I hear things like this, it really disappoints me.

I know that PWI is at its core, a business and its goal is to make money. But I don't understand how PWI thinks this is a good business move. You are sending your customers an image that you don't care about them, which as any good business can tell you, is the wrong image to project. You obviously have a good customer base that is willing to spend their money on this game, so why would you make yourself look bad and push away future customers?

I genuinely hope that this issue gets resolved.

In general if someone is capable of making gross mistakes like this it is the fault of the game. For instance, I've sold a gold mat to an NPC because it had the same icon as a DQ item.

The refining window is similarly confusing as it doesnt give much feedback on what the refine is of the item before and after. They could easily add a warning dialog saying that the item is of lower refine than the Dragon Orb is designed and never have this problem. It's not the player's responsibility to perform every action perfectly in a game that allows such huge mistakes.

I will say whenever I have made such mistakes I am able to have it corrected, I usually blame flaws in the game as much as possible in my tickets so try that.

The guy placed his non-refined Lunar bow instead of his Nirvana bow into the refine window and used +12 orb. I don't think it's the GMs or the game's fault. I personally think it's up to the players to double check everything, especially when doing something as expensive as refining a bow from +11 to +12. The game did what it was supposed to do and refined the bow to +1 with the +12 orb.

wow. sounds to me like he made a mistake of his own accord, and the GM's shouldn't even bother with this. if you people make mistakes by yourself, then its your problem. answer: don't be so stupid and double check stuff.

this would be the same thing as someone buying a brand new car, then crashing it into a tree, and blaming it on the dealership.

the only stupidity i've ever done in my 3 years of playing this game was accidentally buying snake blood (tt mat) because it had the same picture as mystic blood. but, i then sold them and made my money back.

if your friend spent $800 on his bow, then maybe he should be more careful and pay attention to what he's doing. if it were me, when i transferred the refinement, i would have either, A: broken down the bow, B: put it in auction hall, or C: put it in my bank.

if your gonna leave because of someone being stupid, then by all means, go be stupid somewhere else.

yes i agree with u there but the nirvana bow was casted from a hh99 gold bow the nameless which is not only the same icon but also apears to be the exact same when equiped. i know this because i cant bring myself to actually get a lunar bow but want ppl to think im crazy and use the same bow

Really don't see why the GMs would have pity on him... if you're +12ing something, you quadruple check everything just to make sure.

His fault; maybe it'll teach him a lesson for the future.

no its 800+ ****** dollars he spent on having his bow +12 not +11 and another +1 its and when ur dealing with two bows that look the same when equiped it dont matter how careful u are mistakes can be made and when its that high amount then he should get what he PAID for.

Yes but they could add a status window for the item you place showing current refine level status and how it looks with 1 refinement higher. Even a lot of gear/weapon items look identical in the game when you look at the icons. He might have been in a hurry when he did the refining and we don't know what took place. There should be something stating the item placed in the refining slot without having to highlight over the item. This will help eliminate refining issues. Right now it seems they have it the current way to help cause people to make refining mistakes so people have to spend more. When I refine I'm always checking the item I want to refine 5x and make sure I have the correct orb in the slot.

No dice, the person purposefully refined the wrong bow (he did check before dumping the 12 d orb into it right....or else he be a moron, sowwy it be sad but true.) and got the results that should happen.
    *cough cough*

because your friend made a mistake of his own accord. the using +12 orb to refine +1 was his mistake, same as driving a car into a tree. when you buy the car its yours, out of the dealerships hands unless proven a mechanical problem. your friend bought the orbs, so there his and out of GM's hands what he does with it. he refined a normal bow by himself. the car thing is a metaphor. sorry your minimal brain can't comprehend that.

its called hovering the mouse over the item. if you notice in your inventory, the item placed in the refinement window is darkened. to show that that is the item you are refining.

regardless of what GM's could do to help prevent this, it still boils down to player stupidity

Did you not read my comment fully? I said "without highlighing it" meaning having the mouse cursor on it. What I was saying is that there should be a description box on the right side of the refining window for easy viewing. That is what I am referring to. Other games have it set with a description box so why is PWE being lazy on this area.

    okay

#1 no one cares for your snickering comments about what happened - it was a complete accident and should be looked into.

#2 $800.00's is a Big deal for any player, he should be re-embursted - the icons for the bows in game are identical and its hard to see the difference, if pwi is failing to due their job in customer support/in game graphics then thats just bad business. (i've spent around $20-30,000's) on this game. but watching customer support not acting on this, just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. hell, i'll even stop spending money on this game.

#3 you need to look into the concerns of your players, you want us to enjoy our experiences - and continue to play this game as you grow over time. You need to actually care what our inputs/outputs are on this game instead of giving us blank answers with a *shrug* idc response.

i'll add more after i get back from work. b:angry

Nobody wants to admit it, but if any of you made an honest mistake like this, after spending hundreds of dollars, you would be doing the same thing: Submitting tickets, making phone calls, and trying everything you could to reverse the mistake.

There is no reason why PWI shouldn't correct this. It would be an easy fix, and it would show that they do actually care about the people that pay for this game.

Now what me find humor is not that PWI screws over the player. (me know they do this...this be shown by the release of the packs, etc etc) Me actually adapted to this situation to make a bit of monies. (analyze the market, etc)

But here me find humor in the ignorance and "glossing over" that you be doing.
What this situation comes down to be your friend didn't bother to check that he be refining the right thing and refined it....(he actually chose the bow, chose the orb, and accepted) but didn't bother to check he put in the right bow (and possibly the right orb either.)
So now he and you want the game to compensate for his lack of attentiveness.

So now he and you want the game to compensate for his lack of attentiveness.

can anyone actually understand what he typed? i had to stop halfway threw the first paragraph
