Damage Per Hit: Psychic vs Assassin

If the Psychic were to use vodoo, warsoul, jones blessing, full socket Diamond of Tigers... and the Assassin were to use Deep Chill, warsoul, jones blessing and full socket Diamond of tiger, who would be the better DPH'er.

    although why me think assassin beats psy in both DPS and DPH? (mayhaps something to do with the 102 attack level thingy....)

    hamsta, question for you. Would rather Get a ticket to max level but never post on forum again, or.... Post as many times as you want, but every exp you gain would be reduced by 50%. even quests.

    why do people assume hamsters (or cats, for that matter) would be unable to use proper grammar? methinks the hamsta writes like he thinks a not very bright English-speaking hamster would write. ;-)

    Assassin can increase their own crit damage.

    Psy. It's simple math.

    Psys have skills that have higher damage attached to them, and furthermore soulspheres have higher damage on them. You're basically comparing 200% weapon damage on an item that has 900 max damage to 100% weapon damage on an item that has 700 max damage; of course Psy has higher DPH.

    Sin skills become severely underpowered in terms of raw power in later game, save for Headhunt and the AoE skills.

    There's really no competition for DPH, and Chill of the Deep can't save them.

    .6 x 700 = 420
    420 + 700= 1120
    and when they crit.
    1120 x 2 = 2240
    Me excluded the increase to crit damage thingy as well.

    Yeah of course you have a point.
    I'm just not sure how crit is calculated in for damage per HIT, though...I mean if both classes crit, I'm pretty sure Psy still hits higher. How often the sin crits compared to how often the Psy crits seems more like a DPS argument, not a DPH one.
    At any rate, I'm fairly certain I remember a couple times where a sin would brag about hitting a crit, and the damage was always around my normal hit damage.

    Now plug in dagger devotion and that crit dmg increase thingy and use their strongest skill. (DPH = damage just from one hit)

    MAX magic damage per hit > MAX physical damage per hit.

    This always applies when one compares ANY magic class to a non-magic one.

    Yeah I'm with most of the people here too. But it is kind of dumb to compare damage per hit....with -interval gear, sins can get some crazy dps that psychics can only dream about. So there's that, too.

    Assassins better DPH.
    Because our end-game daggers can sacrificial strike.
    Try a Triple Spark 95Attack level (JJ + Sage CoD + raving Slash + Frenzy) Headhunt
    With Crit + Sac Assault. + Tangle + S.S. Amp + Wolf Emblem.
    Oh and use powerdash before that and every hit you do will be a crit for 8 seconds.
    Then use chii recovery skills and do it all again.
