Well Ive looked here but cant find a clear cleric build. I was thinking of going 1 str 1 vit 8 mag every two levels for my cleric. Is this a proper cleric build? Are there any I should know of?
Im a guy, and I like yaoi, you got a problem with that?

Well there is the barebones build..that's usually a support cleric that runs in parties a lot.
That build is usually 1 str and 4 mag every level.
Others are vitality clerics, LA (Light Armor) clerics, and hybid types.
The vit is usually 1 str 1 vit and 3 mag, or 1 str 3 vit and 6 mag every two
The LA is 1 str 1 dex and 3 mag
I'm not sure about the hybrid as it's a HA (Heavy Armor) build, nor have I ever seen a HA cleric...But if it interests you, try searching for Heavy Armor cleric build in the forums.0 -
Add STR as you need it. This means watching what your next weapon will be and when you get it. Watch your armors and apply STR as needed. If you want higher life than the average cleric, add vit as you see fit.
Remember, a cleric's healing power is based on the LOWEST magic attack amount + whatever is given as a bonus on the skill. Adding to VIT, STR and DEX will lower your overall healing ability.[In a distorted place and time][The knife that stabbed me in the back grants me wings]

You do not need dex, ever. I'd go balanced build (6 mag 1 str 3 vit every 2 lvls) until you hit 50 vit, then go 1 str 9 mag every 2 lvls..not sure what str should be maxed at for arcane users..54 i think?0

I would go with the classic 9mag 1 str per every 2 lvls and add vit later if you find it necessary. Its squishey yes, but by refining gear and adding some shards(it takes time to save up but its worth it) and you can counter that quite easily. Its the build i have and i TT , Tw all that rot and do just fine.0

I'd suggest doing the vit from the start when you're squishier..later on you have decent heals.0

We always have decent heals O.o we have IH pretty much from the get goXD. I had no problem with lower lvls (invest in the geanie skill earthquake...really DO ITTTTTT lol)
Cyclone----> plume
>cyclone---->earth quake
>plume----> dead mob, no damage done. I really do stand by adding VIT later, as some people just learn to do without it.0 -
I've decided to add vit until I get a base vit of 50, then go with the pure mag build from then out. If, at say 90 or so, I've decided I don't need the vit anymore, its a nice easy reset note.
I recommend that you take Xoria's advice though. Everyone plays differently, at least her way you can add as you see fit. Just be sure you get at least 6 mag, 1 str every 2 levels. That's the base minimum requirement for mag wep and arcane armor your level.0 -
Thanks everyone ^^Im a guy, and I like yaoi, you got a problem with that?0

Since you are on a PvE server, I will strongly advice to go 9mag 1str every 2 lvls till around lvl 50. Then you can add 5 vit every lvl till you hit 50 Vit at lvl 60 (for TT purposes (surviving aoes etc), that vit will do you good from 60-90, after which you can decide to reset to full mag if you refine your gears alot, or add 50 more vit till lvl 100 if you plan to pvp alot, and cant afford +10 refines).0

Simple: 90% in Magic; 10% in Strength
Everything else is a waste for a Cleric.
If you want to have a great offense and be able to stand alone in fights then you chose the wrong Class.
Clerics are designed to heal, not fight. You must be a dedicated team player to be a Cleric.
My goal is to join squads of 5-6 other people and take responsibility for healing them all. This way, my quests get done actually more quickly because those fighting do not have to stop and meditate since I am there to heal or revive them.
Try this out before you waste points in Dex or Vitality.Neutrality is a myth!0
