Forum Bug?

Okay whenever I log into the forum my avatar is reset to the anonymous picture even though it's still on my character, and the post count resets to 0. I don't care about my post count all that much, but it's getting annoying to have to edit my avatar every time I log on :/

    After you set everything up, log out.

    Empty your cookies and cache in your web browser. Restart your web browser.
    Do you need help learning about patching the game, installing it, changing antivirus/firewall settings, changing network settings, learn how to use a computer, keeping your PC maintained and more?

    Uh okay I did that and it's still doing it. As you can see from my post count.

    I searched my own posts in the forums and my account is for some reason creating multiples of myself b:cry

    Agh I can't edit my own posts when it does this >_<

    Does it have anything to do with my character name? Cuz it's /Gohan\ not /Gohan the forum for some reason cut it off.

    AAGGGHHHH This is very annoying. I can't even set a sig and searching for my own posts is impossible! Isn't there something anyone can do?

    i'm guessing here but the \(backslash ) character is used as a escape character in computing - usually to indicate anything following the \ is a control code, e.g \n is new line

    could be that the forum is seeing the \ in the name and presuming that someone is trying to inject some dubious code strips it off before displaying on the forum - and this is having unforseen problems with the post tracking as it is looking for the full name from the database but not matching it to the posts..

    just a thought..

    the character names are obviously being updated directly from the game database, along with the character level on a reqular basis throughout the day, so any direct changes in the forum database will presumably be overwritten... which sucks ;)

    /Gohan\ - do me a favour - create a new toon /Gohan\\ (not the two backslashes)

    when that character appears in your avatar list, select it and see how it appears on the forum post. You should have the right name - /Gohan\ - obviously this character level will never go up tho..
    but it's a workaround to having to set your avvy every day.. at least until they fix the issue in the back end. The game shouldnt let you use \ in your name to be honest.
