Special Powers to Factions

You know how on naruto people in certain group have special powers like the Uchiha clan could use the shaningan and so on. Well I just start a faction and I want something that made my faction stand out from the others. So was wondering if you guys could put in a system that gave certain faction certain powers that know one else had. I thought it would spice the game up a little. It just a idea. Like, of you could give my faction a power that makes are hold body turn red and we become 10 lvl stronger for 5 minute and learn all new types of moves, but after we use that power are body lose 90% of it's health, and 90% of our mana. You can call it the hidden lotus of something like that. If it was for my group, the Uchihas, we would call it our shaningan, and the only way people could learn this moves is if the you are in the faction it belongs to and you are taught by the leader of the faction. It just a suggestion. If you do install this feature could you please give it to the Uchiha faction first. If you do the one I just describe is the one I would want.     Ok, no offense, but waay too naruto oriented. Of course, I never liked it, so I might be a bit biased. Plus, the 10 lvl bonus would be horrid in something like pvp or TW. Lvl 9x's getting another 10 levels? 0.o

    Now, if you made it useful but not overpowered, like an increase to mana regen for one, increased evasion rate for another, it might work. Have it closer to a buff, but more powerful. There's enough variety in the buffs available to just give bonuses available, not to mention ones that would lean more towards the offensive side with debuffs to enemies, there's a whole spread of strategy available there.

    Limits: Extremely long cooldown. Make it like town portal, only available 1 time per hour. We don't want people to spam this.
    -Limit to lvl 3 factions only. They'd have to have at least 100 players in faction before this could even become available, too, as to limit it to actual factions, not just 3 people wanting an uber skill.
    -It can't be cheap. At all. Cost is a huge factor. This would be game changing, so you can't be giving it away. 2-3mil to get it, at a bare minimum. Add the fact that we all need a coin sink, and voila, bonus to a coin sink and dropping coins from the economy.

    Ok i understand where you're coming from but it was just a suggestion. It not like thats how I want it to go exactly. I was just setting a example in there head. Like only a certain faction become invisible so monster can see them. They can only use the ablility for about five minutes. I was only using naruto because it was easy to relate what I was saying back to the show.

    And I want my faction to have the Rinnegan so that all my members can use any skill from any class and become mini-GMs.

    This would unbalance the game more than it already is. Even if you put a massive limit to who can get this bonus, there's still huge amounts of problems that could arise from this. The strong factions would become almost invincible, while everyone else in the game is left stranded with absolutely no chance to do anything against them. There's no reason to add in any kind of "super skill" like this to the game. At all.

    ok lol at angel's reply.

    now i know where you're getting at, and these guys make a really good point. this game is already unbalanced without faction becoming invincable. maybe you should suggest this to some other game site, the place is already bugged and cluttered. maybe you can go play domo.

    p.s. still roflysst at angel's witty remark. gotta say i love naruto but that was just plain funny.

    The idea has a small amount of potential, but there is a serious issue with unbalancing the game. On the dreamwaever server, Calamity owns almost everything already, wanna make that way everywhere? On the other hand, perhaps there could be regions within the game that granted a minor buff or skill to all members/officers in the faction that owned it.

    If you own two territories from different regions, you automatically lose that power until you lose all holdings in all but one region. Put that in your pipe and smoke it, uber factions!

    As for the suggestion, no matter how you slice it it's a bad idea, and the mods should have put this thread out of its misery last weekend when it was necro'd

    Eh, from a creative stand-point, it was a decent idea, but it just isn't practical. Taranta's idea about limiting the skill makes sense, especially the part about limiting it to lvl 3 factions. But even still, I'd imagine that there have been a good number of lvl 3 factions that have died off, and another good number of them that have been born. So, what happens when PW runs out of ideas? Would the new lvl 3 factions inheret the powers of ones that have died off?

    I know that this thread has been necroed, and that we should probably allow it to rest in its grave. But, its an interesting idea and one that I would like to discuss, even if only from a hypothetical stand-point.

    Also, did I read someone saying that GM's have access to abilities from ALL classes? I think I did, but I'm doubting myself now. That's pretty flippin awesome if they do, and I'm jealous.
