Cage?

So like..jus' bought me a Cageto increase my pet bag slot by one and the description says to take it to a Pet Tamer, but when I get to her, she says nothin' 'bout it, and I can't seem to activate it any other way. What am I missin'? x.x

    There should be an expand pet bag option if I remember.

    Thas what I thought....but there's not.

    Sayin' that, I jus' realised that I never finished the ''get Hay'' quest. Does that need to be done, first? If so...where can I get Hay? I've only found one so far and don't exactly want to buy them for 9k apiece in town...how a I meant to get them if they're so uncommon to drop?

    edit: Cancelled the Hay Quest and got the Cage quest instead. That worked; got my pet bag increased. Will go off on the endless hunt for hay now ^^

    It's meant to be a grindfest quest, literally. I spent 1-2 hours grinding the rhinodrakes outside Archosaur for 20 while my pet went from 19-27ish.


    That's a metric ton of rhinodrakes and blobs (started with the blob killing quest).

    The lowest level mobs that drop them are the level 8 turtle mobs in each race starting area with am amazing drop rate of 3-5%. >.<

    The third pet slot can be obtained via the Hay quest, or a cage.
    The fourth pet slot can be obtained via the Fruit quest, or a cage.
    The fifth pet slot can be obtained via the Fungus quest, or a cage.
    Pet slots 6-10 need a cage.

    So if you turn in the cage for your third pet slot, you will have completed the third pet slot quest. To get another pet slot, you would need to do the Fruit quest (or buy another cage). The Hay will be useless to you (except to sell or as food)

    You can get them from L8 turtles, but they're very rare. The drop rate is better off the L22 rhinodrake megaliths near Archosaur (check the name carefully, there are two types of rhinodrakes in the area). Most people get them from the L30 antelope pups.

    Ah. Makes sense. Guess I'll jus' save up and buy cages then, or hunt down Fruits or Fungii, later on. Thank-you.

    if you've accepted the "hunt items to expand bag" quest you will need to trash that one first. also you can try the PW Boutique agent or whatever its called. she might have the option to use it there.

    There are some really great benefits to finishing those first 2 quests, not sure about the fungus, but the hay and fruit..
    though it IS a grind..

    you can level up pets..

    you actually make a quite nice haul from vendoring items, more than 100k for hay grind and easily 500k for fruit grind.

    you can level up pets..

    anytime you can make money instead of spending gold, take that option. if you do these 2 quests, you will still have 6 slots to buy anyhow. Just something to ponder.

    It's good advice; I appreciate it.
    I wasnae aware at the time that it actually replaced the quest, and at the time had no idea where to find the Hay, but since I had one in my inventory after a day of questin', I thought it was jus' a painfully rare drop. Thinkin' it'd take forever to score like 20 of them I thought that 2g/200k ain't that expensive nor time-consumin' and would be an easy route to get the slot I needed for my new golem, and that I could get the Hay as I went along anyways.
    Misunderstandin' on my part, but I've got it sorted now. Jus' gotta find out what drops Fruit... >.>

    Fruit is pretty much an air or sea thing. Haven't personally seen any land creatures drop it yet.

    In the late 30s you can grab fruit underwater near the Shipyard, or the river near Orchid village.

    Most people use their air pets on the vipons near Lost City, or Angler's Village though.

    I have the same problem with expanding my cage I just bought. It says take to any Pet trainer. Does that mean Pet Skill Trainer?????

    Yes, the Pet Skill Trainer is the one that gives/rewards that quest.
