It's a simple idea really. Say you want to give someone a mount, a fly, a scarlet fruit or just an assortment of potions and mats. Whatever you want to give to someone it can be made a surprise by gift wrapping it. This is what you do, lets say you have potions, mats, and a mount you want to give to a friend but you want them to be surprised. The only alternative to this is mailing it to them which takes an hour. If you try and give them the items right on the spot they'll see what they are when you put the in the trade screen. With gift wrappings you can put several items into one small box via an NPC. Once you do the gift wrappings turn into a “Present of Friendship.” When they right-click the present all the items are put into that friend's inventory, like all other types of gift boxes.

As I said, it's a small idea but I hope this is good enough for you all to consider it. ^_^

    Could be great for an idea but I guess the postage fee would be higher, no?

    I'd use different mails imo... and as I never make mistakes in the recipient's name, I am ok.

    But yes, simplifying it by a box containing different types of items would be nice.

    :) I love this idea :) I give people presents a ton, and i'd like them to be surprises :)

    it is a good idea. one game i played had something like this where you could buy item shop stuff, and select to send them to someone as a gift. they would receive a letter in their mailbox saying that they have a gift, then they could look in their item shop storage for it, and there it is. and putting many items into a box would be better then mailing them one by one

    Oh yes, it can have the givers name beside it like "Gift of Friendship From so and so." I don't know if putting the receiver's name on the gift itself would be wise. If they became angry at you or left the game you would be left with a gift with someone's name on it. It would be kind of weird if youtried giving it to someone else.

    i know where your coming from. people only put the receivers name of a gift on christmas when theirs a bunch of gifts to various people. the game i played though didn't have your name on it if you were receiving it. you just typed their name in in order to send it to them
