New ~ Server choice help?

b:shy Hello everyone!

I am completely new to PWI, though I did play PW-MY for a bit about a year and a half ago. Fom what I can tell there is a lot new to catch up on - including a new race and these Genies. b:surprised

Currently downloading the game, I will be playing as a Cleric and am always happy to help!

I am trying to decide which server would be best, since I prefer PvE, Role Play and friendliness. Also if possible a server which might have some fellow Aussies! Any advice would be much appreciated. b:question

    Welcome to PWI and have fun! Come to Sanctuary, we need more good Clerics! b:chuckle
    The most populated PVE servers are Sanctuary and Heaven's Tear.
    And sorry, but we do not know which server has the most Aussies, the friendliest people or lots of RPers. xD You can always look for a RP faction that has people from your country.

    So Heavens Tear or Sanctuary then. What is the difference?

    And how would I go about looking for a RP faction with Aussie players?

    There are no statistics about the servers, so we do not know about differences. The only difference I see is the servers' names. :P And the servers' age - Sanctuary and HT are the oldest servers, so they have more people and more high lvl players, so it's easy to find a squad at any lvl. I heard high lvl people are having a problem finding squads on newer servers (like Archosaur and Raging Tide).

    My main characters are on Sanctuary because it sounds like a nice place (it's a SANCTUARY afterall!). I'm happy with my choice, because I found good friends there. :) But that doesn't mean you won't find friends if you go to another server. There are kind and helpful people everywhere... as well as rude ones.

    You can buy teleacoustics (for ingame coins, cheap) and search for the right faction on world chat.

    You should probably base your choice of server on whichever one has the lowest ping time (the smallest MS you see listed when you select the server when logging in) and the time zone that best suits you.

    The PvE servers are:
    Heaven's Tear (West Coast)
    Sanctuary (West Coast)
    Archosaur (West Coast)
    Dreamweaver (East Coast)
    Raging Tide (East Coast)

    The East Coast servers are on Eastern time (EST or EDT, UTC -5 or -4, respectively) and the West Coast servers are on Pacific time (PST or PDT, UTC -8 or -7). A lot of events on PWI happen in the evening (8:50 PM - midnight), server time, so if the ping times are about the same you might want to choose based on which coast's time zone works better for you.

    Anyways, hopefully I will pick up a nice faction, I am nearing my Clerics FB19!!b:worried

    Heaven's Tear has some of the oldest players and even some from the MY version.

    The social atmosphere is generally nice, you might even see me WC often too!

    I am sure you will find the right people you want to seek out here.
