Unable to wear clothing

i bought armor and such, and the items are highlighted red in my inventory box?
why wont it let me use these items? are they only to be used for quests? can someone please explain..

    if they're highlighted red, then that means you're not high enough lvl or don't meet some requirements (like not enough stats... etc)

    Anyway the most likely thing is that you're missing some of the requirements for equipping it. When you hover your pointer on top of the item it lists it's information. In the lower part of it just over price and magic bonuses it says requires strenght X level Y dexterity/magic Z.

    If you don't meet those requirements the item shows up red in your inventory and you won't be able to equip it. It even highlights the missing things in red.

    b:pleased Now don't get excited. For some people this is a serious problem and even when you tell them many times to please put on clothing, they still fail. One of my roomies had this problem. She would just walk around the house without a single piece of clothing on. At first it was kind of strange but you get used to a lot of things.

    Anyone mentioned repairs? that seems more likely.
