Which server completes the Nien Beast event the fastest?

Just had an idea here about how we can get a general idea of the most populated servers and the least populated servers. Ever since I've joined, I've always wondered who to believe on which servers are dead. While it's obvious that Heaven's Tear and Lost city may be more populated, comparing servers like Harshlands and Sanctuary is a bit more difficult. Checking the server traffic on the login menu doesn't help either, as each and every server flucuates between Normal and High. Or perhaps this means that all servers have about the same population...
Another issue for some people is what servers are completely owned by cash shoppers and which are not. I know I've heard plenty of people from Dreamweaver and Lost City complain about CS users, but of course there's no easy way to compare CS usage among various servers.

So how do we measure these two factors? Simple: Have people from each server tell us how long their Nien beast event lasts. The Nien beast event doesn't have a fixed time limit, but rather it's length is dependent on how quickly it's players kill the various mobs. Ever since the release of the Jolly Jones blessings, I've noticed a clear increase in how quickly our event is done. The same increase would also be seen if I moved to a more populated server, or one with richer players.

So, I've made this thread:
Just for the sake of my own curiosity, and for the sake of anyone else who is curious about which server is the biggest/the most CS-involved, or for anyone who simply wants to prove their server is the best, I ask that people post how long the Nien Beast event typically lasts on their server. If you were to ask me right now of the top of my head, I'd say a HL event typically lasts 20-25 minutes. I also ask that people include a simple score tally of the top 5 players of each class for their server. If I can collect this information, then we'll be able to see which server is the biggest, which is the richest, and perhaps which is the best.
Perhaps this "study" isn't perfect, but hey, at least we'll have a general idea. I remember when I was scouting servers, everyone told me that I should join Lost City or HT, because all the other servers were "dead." This wasn't exactly helpful, because their definition of "dead" was too broad. This should at least give people a general idea of CS usage and population of each of the servers.

So, anyone interested in helping?

Like I said:

1. Simply post how long the Nien event typically lasts on your server.
2. Provide the scores of the top 5 players of a particular class or of every class. This'll help show if one server's players have superior gear to another. Higher individual scores = higher CS usage. However, if you do believe one of the score's listed in the top five only got there via boosting (partying a class that has better DPS to improve your score), please say so.

I'll simply record the data here, and hopefully it'll help give us an understanding of server sizes and CS usage.

length of the nien event in absolutely no way can determine any of what you are looking for. lol seriously cs usage? lots of players have great gear without ever using cash shop, just work hard lots of grinding/tt and they make all the coin they need to compete with the cash shoppers who don't know what the heck they are doing with all that great gear anyway

I'm simply basing it off the reality of the fact that the top players are probably those who pay. Yeah, you can grind your butt off and farm TT, or you can swipe your credit card through a couple times and just buy everything you need. While it's possible to earn it all, the majority of the top players have probably used CS.

Either way, I don't see how simply collecting statistics could hurt. Even if the numbers don't end up speaking for themselves, then it could still be fun to compare the servers competition-wise.

Other than that, you got a better idea? :P Not like there's another way TO compare the servers statistically...

DW is usually around 13 minutes.

Goes to about 17-19 minutes if a couple of bms don't show up.... (seriously)

I'd say between 12-15 on HL too, depending on turnout and whether Zulu decides to participate or PK.

12-15mins on RT also. Given there are a limited amount of mobs in the first section, it'll generally take the same time on any server. The amount of players participating has little effect and falls within the 12-15min scope (500 man vs 400 man server), a 20% setback would still only mean a few minutes off the final boss.

Actually, I can't remember a single time where it's taken less than 15 minutes to complete. I'd say HL normally takes about 18 minutes.

A very handy timer is the Festival Invitation item, it expires after 15 minutes. Mine has never managed to last the entire event, and usually actually disappears before any of the Nien Beasts die. Note that I've missed less than 10 Nien Attack events since the day it began.

you actually get 400-500 turnout? HT's usually between 240 and 270 for our 12-15min time.

Instead of looking at how fast the event is done, why not look at how many participants there are on average?

Still won't really give you reliable answer though.

Awww you stole my post. :C

But yeah I've never seen that invitation make it the full way, and I've only missed a couple events.

Also yeah: stupid me. Forgot the list includes a total participants number. Give us that, too.

    Harshlands averages 200, maybe 210 or 220. Sometimes 190, sometimes 239.

Nah, cause when it first started LC had 450-500 participants... now it's usually around 275-400. Varies greatly. A lot of people who know they won't place don't even bother doing it.

It is a bad measure of how active a server is. Some end game people jsut logs on for the nien beast event. They do not make the server active at all in my opinion. (Because Imagine if everyone in the server does that, it would be a ghost town in non-nien event times)

That and the time taken also depends on how well coordinated the 5 aps are. If all nien bosses have about the same amount of aps dps-ers, then it would have taken the least time.

However, it is still some kind of measure of how many people are "playing" pwi.
Thanks Chillum for the nice Sig.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Well when Zulu is around it's obvious, cause there's always one boss that's taking forever to die. When they're not PKing, then it's still generally 15-20 minutes.

Also, since Jone's Blessing, event finish more faster. I notice that because the Invitation doesn't expire to much before the Nien Beasts are killed.

Doubt it. Running from mob to mob takes time, so does their respawn. The mobbing part should at least consume 3 minutes, then there's traveling to the captain, then to the Nien Beast. I'd say unless the entire server has Teleport stones, it's not feasible.

    No way wifey!!

The Festival invitation disappears a couple of minutes into killing the 3rd stage boss.

I'd say RT takes at least 20 minutes each time, up to 25.

yeah HT is around 12-15 minutes... but I've stopped doing event because the one 2 hours ago, I placed 11th. The 10 people above me were all squadded with 4-5 atk/sec players b:shutup

When the event was first released, I used to place 1st for venos... as the weeks have gone by, more and more venos are squadding - 2 hours ago there was a veno no one had ever heard of who I think was a lvl 51 alt of a fist BM, and they got first with like 10k contrib. Again, I placed 11th, and I'm fairly sure I'm the first unsquadded veno on that list.

Tempted to get interval gear and restat to fist fox veno just to get 30k contrib and **** with all the veno's heads b:chuckle, but I don't have 300m coins to spare to get perma spark.
