BM, Archer, Cleric, Wizard for PvE?

which is the best at PvE overall, i dont paticularly have a playing style
which of them at best at soloing, aoe grinding, cheapness etc.?

    Yes, you do have a playing style. You just don't know it yet.

    BM is a pretty good choice for new players; they're tough, they hit hard, and they've got the best selection of weapons to be effective. I also find cleric to be a well-rounded class, but you're going to need to be a carebear to pull it off without blowing up at all the people who randomly ask for buffs.

    Search the forums (Beginner Forum in particular)... there are a LOT of threads about the sorts of questions you're asking. Browse around, use the search function, and you'll figure it out without us having to repeat it here.

    My suggestion is to try out a couple, or all the classes. You have 8 character slots per server, so there's no reason not to experiment. Right now, you should just explore and experiment; figuring out optimum builds and whatever can come later, after you've gotten to know the game, and your own playstyle.

    I wouldn't recommend a barbarian for PvE. They're annoying to level because they deal low damage as defensive players. Also currently at high-levels blademasters can tank most things barbarians used to be semi-required for.

    Of the classes you listed... Archers and Wizards start off slow and don't shine till the later levels really... Especially Wizards. Clerics have an easy time finding squads, but have lots of expensive skills. All magic users can use a lot of potions depending on your style, but clerics don't need health potions like ever...
    Blademasters are very different being melee... great for AoE grind at high levels. Good off-tanks. Top damage dealers in the game at the moment for high-levels too.

    And your wrong about barbs Euphy, my barbarian I really really REALLY love for PVE other than all other classes, and yet, I do best on barbs just fine. I play on barbs and most likely used to tanker classes, and barbarians don't kill that slow. They just need to carry MP powders to be effective.

    It's funny....no where did the OP mention a Barb and yet the discussion has turned to that direction....

    there is no severely imbalanced classes or totally useless class in this game. like what others have said, trying or watching some gameplay videos might help you to decide.

    Biased opinion:

    For solo PvE, of the ones you listed, clerics are pretty awesome. They can solo lots of stuff if you aren't afraid to try [don't be fooled by the seeming squishiniess]--better than archer or wizard until late/endgame. They are expensive though. Also good at making money from squad instances.

    BMs, never tried them. People say they're good.

    Archers and wizards get incredibly easy after a certain rough period in lower levels [that sometimes causes people to quit the chars before getting through it]. Knockback saves these classes and they get very powerful attacks as archers crit and wizards skills go up. Generally both inexpensive but you won't have as much opportunity making money off squad run instances [last pick or almost last generally].

    And like others have said, try out a few and compare. Give each a decent chance though, the starter skills kinda suck at first and decide when you get a feel for the gameplay of each class.

    Since when are clerics remotely close to last pick in instances? Split is usually subber, tank, cleric, and DDs by lvl. At least that's how it is on HL. O.o

    Oops I thought it was clear I was referring to archers and wizards in that section; DDs usually get last. Clerics get decent picks.
