Hello everyone,
What do you the ideal combination for "essential sutra"
All skill or just some ?
Should change depending on the type of mob?

There is a skill that increases Chi ? for genies ?

Sorry are novice and machine translation xd b:cute

There is not an "ideal" combination for sutra, but I like to use divine pyrogram -> pyrogram -> gush -> divine pyrogram -> pyrogram for most part. Obviously it depends on who you or what you are fighting, but you'll get the hang of that eventually. Cloud eruption and chi siphon are both genie skills that give you chi.

I always go for the slowest spells, which usually damage more (Atleast they should). If you have the genie skill "Cloud Eruption" (Which you should), then use suttra, quickly use the genie skill, then use the BT, BIDS, or MS. Great combo

An ideal chain would be to get off as many essential skills as possible, i.e. sutra ~> morning dew ~> knockback if you're dying (or close to it)
With pyro, gush, FoW, pyro you can get 4 (or 5 if you try hard enough) skills off which should be enough to kill what you're attacking (if it's a similar leveled mob)
Once you hit 89 and get 3 sparks, with full chi you can sutra ~> (insert any skill here) ~> ulti (BIDS, sieze, BT) and turn that ~5 sec cast into ~1 sec

u should consider the fact that sutra removes channeling, so u better use skills with high channeling but LOW casting time, like divine pyro or pyrogram.

btw it all depends on situations, in pve against mobs i usually use sutra with this combo when im in danger vs melee:

sutra + morning dew + phoneix + glacial snare
If you happy wanna be, against the wind you won't have to pee.

I am using D.Pyro, Sandstorm, D.Pyro, Glacial Snare, in that order or it won't work. Best damage. It works, but gotta be reactive when you hit sutra and spam buttons...

When you get the 3rd spark try this:
(full 3 sparks & chi bar req.)
Force of Will+ess.sutra+gush+undine+ one of the 3 ultis(Blade Tempest or Mountain's Seize or Black Ice Dragon strike)

not a good idea. better yet undine > force of will then what u said. or force of will undine then what u said. its such a waste to use skill like undine in sutra combo

I put it like this ,cause i dont want to have time ( minus time ,but still can react btw undine & force of will..)the opponent. So if i cast first the Force of will, definately ,the opponent have no time. But ty for the tip,i ll try that too.

acctually the seal effect from force will enough fast if u do after udine (and then can do +1skill in sutra). i am not sure too many ppl can cast between udine/force will.

    hi there,

just a couple of questions on this topic.
    1) is it better to individually click the skills after hitting sutra, or using a macro to pump the skills out?

    2) what do you this of this combo? Spark-FOW-Sutra-then DD skills u want to use. This way you get sparked skills, + the mob is sealed while you go about your business.

1My macros always choke without sutra so never tried with macros. Not a fan of them really.
2Which spark are you talking about? And at what level? For dbl/triple spark youd have to use a chi pot/genie for it to work. Better to just undine imo

That would work in PVE, in PVP, you'd get silenced the moment someone sees you sparking.

My sutra combo in PVP is FoW, Mountain Seize, and anything else you want. Usually gets the job done. b:cool

Isn't FoW kinda wasteful while in Sutra? The channeling is so short (0.5 secs) and cast is so long, so you waste more than 2 secs while in Sutra? Why not just FoW before Sutra, then Sutra->Elemental Shell (instant 15 chi)->MS and your combo.
