Monster attacks during meditation

I hate it. you hate it. Meditation is clearly a time for refreshing hit points, and not for being even more vulnerable to attacks. Once, i was fighting monsters, my mom called me in for dinner, so i meditated my character and ate. later, my character was dead. BIG SURPRISE.Please support.

    WARNING: Don't afk meditate near a group of mobs they will kill you.

    Move to a spot where there is little to no mobs around so you won't die or just go into a safe zone.

    Situation:

    See why getting attacked while meditating is appropriate? The monsters dont give a damn if you're meditating or not. They just want to kill you.

    I already knew what afk death meant, since I played another MMO before PW (and I go back to it from time to time).
    That said, when I began my game as my BM (the avatar one), I rested on a stump around Timberfield, as I was questing, as in beating wasteland tarantulax.

    I don't know how, but a damn snake bit my fighter's **** and the latter died when I came by.

    Needless to say I was furious and began a rampage consisting of beating the living ropes up (don't you love when they go 'wheeee!!!' when they die?) without any mercy.
    I also tend to do that each time I die on a mob I can beat. It's called bitterness and sweet revenge.

    But to tell you the truth, I tend to, when meditating, to get far away from the mob zone, be it in distance (where none spawn), or in height (on top of trees, rocks or on the roofs of houses).
    ...But there is an even better solution. Do go to a safe place and log off. AFKing in the middle of a monster nest is the worst thing you can do.

    Unless they are tame and YOU would bully them instead (probability that is close to nil at mid and high levels). b:laugh

    I haven't died in meditation since the 2nd day I played PWI. Find a safe place to sit.

    I suppose you also want the mobs the part the way for you in instances so you can pass. If finding a safe place to meditate makes you complain god knows what kind of hemorrhage you will have when you find out you have to pay closer attention than the outside mobs.

    I only died once because of that and I will never forget it...

    I went and RAGGGEEEEDDD....

    Killed about 50+ mobs.. (the same mobs that killed me)

    I was like "YEEEAAHHH, who is the man now..?" I swear when I said that.. I pulled aggro from my pet when he was killing three at a time and died... b:surrender

    ...I've killed myself in a lot of really stupid and avoidable ways...

    ...But I can't think of a time where I've ever killed myself meditating, let alone done so so often that it's something I could call an issue. b:shocked

    I hope this is a joke, cause it scares me to think there is a person walking our planet with so little smarts.

    Oh wait i just notice, notes for next patch, invinsible meditation. Niiiiiiice!! Good suggestion buddy.

    ive been afk killed while autopathing(was in a rush set altitude to 68ish and clicked confirm... well thought i did lol) but never during meditation lol always make sure your not near any mobs while meditateing unless your at your comp makeing sure you dont get sneak attacked by a mob

    Possibly was in a dungeon with respawning walkers (51 does that)
    Or, more likely isn't high enough level to fly yet.

    But yes, if you're going afk for a long period - log out.

    One more tip added:
    If you're grinding/questing and you need to go afk instantly (RL tends to do that a lot) just use your town teleportation skill. It will port you instantly to the nearest safe zone, where no mobs or PKers can get to you :D b:victory
    When I got the meaning of melee mixed up:
    'Maj.. Melee ffs.. means I'm punching you in the face 1 foot away!'

    Guys I tried to cast my healing spell but the mob wouldn't stop attacking to let me do it.

    This is bullcrap and they should fix it.

    clerics should be invunerable while healing, even the posture and the name implies that they are praying: Blessing of the Purehearted
