It might be Windows, Windows Firewall, Admin, UAC, network, or antivirus settings that you will need to change so that they aren't blocking or throttling the game.

Add the game folder to the exceptions list in your firewall or antivirus software. You may need to temporarily disable your antivirus, MS Security Essentials or Windows Firewall long enough to get into the game, and then turn it back on.

You can try changing your proxy settings for Internet Explorer to have them turned off here: Tools > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings > and then untick all of the proxy settings.

If you still need additional help, please Search our Knowledge Base for the terms mentioned above. Let us know what you tried and what errors you got when you reply to us.
Do you need help learning about patching the game, installing it, changing antivirus/firewall settings, changing network settings, learn how to use a computer, keeping your PC maintained and more?

I'm going to go more into details this time

1st: I clicked the direct download for pwi and left it on through the night [i have had it downloaded before, a message came up and asked if i wanted to delete the old files before the download and i did] then i left it on all night [may've not finished, but i don't know how to check :(]

2nd: I didn't see it on my desktop, so i looked in program files - perfect world entertainment - launcher - laucher

3rd: i clicked it and it came up, i accepted it on my firewall tools [PC Tools Firewall Plus]

4th: it disappeared and it kept on dissapearing every time i wanted to open it.

P.S. : I tryed turning the firewall off then opening it, but it didn't work

It'll be helpful to us if you tell us some of your computer's information.

    1) What is the make and model number of your computer?

    2) Please also tell us whether you are running a 32bit or 64bit version of Windows. You can find out in Windows by going here: Start > Control Panel > System & Maintenance > System. Then look under System > System Type. It will then display 32bit Operating System or 64bit Operating System. Include that info with the info we ask for below.

    3) To create a dxdiag log, go to Start, click on Run, then type in dxdiag and press Enter. Click on Save All Information as a text file (on your Desktop as an example.
If you are using Vista or 7, go to the Start Menu, click on the Search menu and type dxdiag.exe.

    4) Copy and paste the top half of your dxdiag into your forum post (that means 50% of the text). If you have Vista, please take out the (TM) (the trademark symbol) out of the text file, as the forums will cut it off and won't display the rest of the text.

If you have a 64bit system, please click on the 64bit Dxdiag/DirectX button to save the correct log file. This is important so that we can help you find the right software for your system.

We'll take a look at it, and offer our advice (or our super cool and helpful community might beat us to answering things for you).

You may need to check the help info for your networking gear.

Update your video drivers, network drivers, and system drivers. Your current video drivers are dated back to 2006.

You can get updated video drivers from here: http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp-257.21-whql-driver.html

You only have 3.3GB of hard drive space remaining, please free up about 10GB so Windows and any games or apps you are running have room to run properly.
Do you need help learning about patching the game, installing it, changing antivirus/firewall settings, changing network settings, learn how to use a computer, keeping your PC maintained and more?

Wow, thanks, I know I have alot of excess junk in my computer, i'm gonna do disk cleanup, any other ideas?

And, thanks for the video driver advise, I'd never had found that out ;)

P.S. if i click download on the link, that will update video, network, and system drivers, not just video drivers, right?
