PWI cross server June Beauty Contest!

This will be a little different from other player held contests from before, as there are several more rules that will be incorporated that will test your tastes and skills in the development of a perfect perfect world female character!

Who can participate?

Anyone of any gender, age, class in any server - however entry must be that of a female character, whether it be your main, alt, or a new level one character made just for this contest. This means there should be no screenshots of barbs on this thread.

Instructions:

Post the following screenshots along with your character name on the same post:

1. Screenie showing the character's face as close up as possible, from the front and from one side.

2. Screenie showing the characters body filling up as much of the screenshot as possible (don't zoom out so much we can barely see what your toon's face looks like)

3. An ingame screenshot with no UI erased that shows the character profile picture (simply press print screen button, you may block out your skills, hp, mp, genie - however your name must be visible to ensure this is your creation, not someone else you saw running around.) The profile picture will also be rated. Your character may be doing whatever pose or action you want in this picture.

You may post your character's story or characteristics to help improve the judges understanding of the making of your character, but this is not required.

Rules:

1. You may not use any fashion to decorate your character. The only exception is the use of hair (side pony, vamp hair, etc). Your toon should be in the default white undies, or the default armor (how your character looks without any armor on, when you first start the game). This is a beauty contest, not a fashion contest.

2. You may use expressions and a fitting background to pose your character to earn more points. However, in doing the emotions, character's face and body should be plainly visable (no half turned poses or sitting down poses).

3. You may submit up to 3 characters, but if so, they must be of different class. Please post them separately.

4. All entries must be posted on this thread by June 30, 2010 (can be subject to change depending on level of particiation).

5. Any failure to meet requirements will disqualify you during the judging process.

How this will work:

1. Judges will look at all entries in order in the beginning of July. Judges include a group of 2 people who do not play Perfect World, along with myself.

2. Characters will receive a rating on each screenshot from 1 to 5, 5 being most excellent, for the face, body composition, and profile picture. A last rating of 1 to 5 will be made for the general feel of the character (this is where a description would help) for an overal x/20 per entry. If time allows, we will post individual ratings and comments on a separate thread.

3. Characters with a rating of 15+/20 will be looked upon again for a final decision of winners, partly on community poll on different thread, and on judges' final ratings.

4. If there is an entry of at least 5 different characters per class, a winner for each class will be chosen. If not, a total of 3 winners wil receive a prize, no matter what class, no matter what server. The grand prize winner will receive an additional prize.

5. Results will be posted within a week of the contest end date.

Rewards:

Furthur decisions on rewards will be posted at later times after seeing the amount of participation. Pure coin, fashion, and other items are currently being reserved as prizes.

Helpful Hints:

1. It's first come first serve. If someone posts a similar character before you post yours, theirs will be rated higher for originalty. In other words, characters will be rated on their posting order on this thread.

2. This isn't a contest where being extremely original will allow you to win - in other words, shocking pink hair with the nose covering more than 3/4 the face will not be looked upon with much love (unless somehow you make it really work in with the overall makeup of the character...?) Proportions DO matter, in face and in body.

3. Things looked at: color cordination, propotions, originality, attitude (chaotic, calm, funny, angry, etc), diligence (it shows if it looks like you spent time on your character or not), creativity, does it work

4. Try to resize the screenshots to fit on the thread page, or provide links. Resized pictures should still allow clarity in what your character looks like. Having the "soften" effect on and putting your character in the light will blur them out (not good). Quality of the screenshot will somewhat play a role - if you can only take jagged low quality screenies, perhaps consider using a friend's computer, but will not be required.

5. Rewards will be delievered to the character ign shown in the screenshot with the profile picture. If you make a new character, do not delete it until winners are announced.
