Anyone else find the faction spotlight funny?

So... I was finally bored enough to read non-sale related news of PWI. And ran across this " I’ve been on vacation for the past 4 months. When I left I was the leader as well, and one of the higher people. I get back only to find that all my friends are either gone or level 100. They don’t even talk to me anymore. [...] My faction’s falling apart, people leaving everyday, it’s really depressing if you think about it." in the fraction spotlight section.

That had me cracking up a bit. The guy made a fraction... got people to join... disappears for 4 months without passing leadership... and actually expect his former members to stay loyal. I can tell you this... if my fraction leader disappears for a month without a word... he'll no longer be my leader. And by 2 month's time... i am pretty sure anyone worth while in fraction will be long gone. Thats really bad leadership on his part.

2. If you have less kill counts then me, don't expect me to take pk advice from you.
3. If you are hiding behind an alt, don't expect me to acknowledge your existence.

    FRACTIONS =/= FACTIONS.

    FRACTIONS = MATH

    FACTIONS = MMORPG

    FACTIONS = MMORPG

    Actually, faction refers to a group within a larger group. It's not limited to MMOs.

    To OP: It's a bit amusing but I thought it was funnier that you spelled 'faction' correctly in your thread title but spelled it as 'fraction' in your post.

    I did find it a bit funny O_O

    What guild leader goes away for 4 months and doesn't pass lead. Only thing left in the guild will be in-actives or alts. You dont even have to be gone more than a few weeks for a guild to fall apart if no leader.

    In general i find these Faction Spotlight Interviews boring though. I cant care less about some mid-size faction on a pve-server i dont even play. Why do they pick totally no-name not interesting factions to write about. Every leader of a mid-size faction will say the same thing in a interview anyway.

    Hard to keep high lvls, hard to get enough people to help with instances, we lack barbs and clerics for pve, we will TW eventually once we get geared up and catch up in levels (means never) and so on. Than they will talk about some silly event they have once or twice like a naked race from EtherBlade to Archo to seem a bit crazy.

    Pick older factions that actually has achieved something, than its at least interesting what ever server you play. Interview leaders that actually helped/destroyed the map colors, not some guy that was gone for 4 months and doesn't know **** about the game <.<

    I personally hate these small factions getting suddenly noticed.
    Myriad, or however it was spelled, spammed world chat for a good 3 or 4 days full of recruiting after they got on the faction spotlight.
    They simply would not stop, not even when people asked them to.

    Not to be mean or anything, but if I remember right (because I haven't exactly been paying attention to most of the in-game events), they only got this "reward" of being a part of "Faction Spotlight" because they won some screenshot contest. Feels like they were purposely chosen because they're smaller factions and most people have heard a lot about the bigger TW factions already if they were to go on the server sections of the forum. Then again, the bigger TW factions probably didn't care enough about the event to enter. But yes, I did find the faction leader to be a bit arrogant & a bit over his head in terms of thinking his members would still be in the faction after 4 months of disappearance. <_<;

    I'm just sayin'. b:surrender

    Hey guys, don't be poking on the dude and make fun of his misspelling.

    It's a very interesting topic, as this story shows how much many only play for levels and personal fame and not the relationship side.
    Four months is not a year, you still can remember who is your faction leader... unless you didn't really care about being in that group after all, or just get what you wanted and leave with an arrogant or disinterested face, like if nothing good happened or that you were forced to do things. There is that feeling that factions were only a tool, a stepping stone to personal success.

    I seriously would not want to meet such people, as they show no gratitude or warmth, etc. etc.

    - When will we get new content? QQ
    - Will we get sales? I got a ton of gold to spend.
    - I'm bored, I'll create a useless thread to annoy Opkorock.

    I agree with just about all quoted above. I do not care about some small faction's story that is always the same. If you are inactive for four months as a leader you better have some other very active and good officers or your faction will disintegrate. Cannot expect someone to stay when your faction is so limited when you have no leader.

    Now I would like to know what is like in the land owning factions of other servers. I am sure they have some interesting and maybe even unique stories to tell.

    The fraction fell apart because the guild leader divided by 0.

    The math added up. It destroyed the fraction by doing that. This is vital information. Myself, Kiyoshi and sacred should tell Mikey now! b:shocked

    Just to clear things up, the original leader actually pass his leadership to another member before taking his leave.

    As for higher lvls leaving, that's totally understandable when you find out that bigger factions offers TW and a fat paycheck for participating.

    Yup they need to pick better people for their faction spotlight. Both have been depressing, lackluster, non controversial, and non factors.

    Therefore I volunteer my faction to take the spotlight b:cute

    You do realize that the faction spotlights are a part of a screenshot contest? And that majority of the winners were from Dreamweaver server? Not all of the factions that are going to get a spotlight are bad, or complete lacklusters, there's gonna be some interesting things coming for sure. ^^

    its interesting to see those who jump on the bandwagon over my spelling mistake. but then again... i guess its a real big deal for the spelling champ to make a mistake. these are probably the same type of people who trash talk while waiting on the sideline for me to finish my shull hunter on top of that hill in old ht.

    i for one expected a posted interview to reveal something interesting or something i care about. its like instead of covering news about the volcano erupting down the street... they cover the mating rituals of the brazilian peanut ant. while there may be people who is interested in mating rituals of imaginary brazilian ants even as they are drool on hot lava... the vast majority isn't.

    i would rather see them do a piece on land owning guilds... where there is actually something going on. then again... would the lead of a land owning guild take time out of his day for an interview.
