Okay I run PWI in windowed mode and it runs perfect for the most part. The only problem I have is when I have more then one window open and PWI isnt the active window the game screen will freeze until it becomes the active window again. The game itself is still going on like normal just the screen will freeze if i click on another window, and wont continue to work until i click it again. This is VERY annoying when walking long distances and using other programs. Is there anyone to fix this? Thanks.

I don't believe there is a "fix" for this, your game will still run but you won't see it running unless you make it visible again.

Asmodiel, the game is visible when this happens.

Heres an example: I have PWI client open and playing and it takes up about half the screen if I decide to open say.. Calculator for whatever reason in the other half of my screen. Both windows are visible (not even overlapping each other) but when I click off of the PWI client and use the calculator the PWI client will freeze and only what was on the screen when I clicked the other window will be visible. The game itself will be running normal but I just cant see whats happening until I click the PWI client again. This is very bother some seeing as I like to talk to friend using IM programs and every time I click on the IM window on the other half of the screen I cant see whats going on in the game until I click the PWI client again.

Is there no way to make it so that when PWI client window is inactive (grayed top bar of the window) I can still see whats happening in the game?

when you click out of the window it stops updating the graphics in that window. It is not just PWI, this happens with BOI too and some other non PWE games i have played. Once you flick back to the game window the graphics usually skip to where you currently are as the engine updates the screen.

i can't remember cos i don't play pwi windowed on the laptop i use atm, but if you hover over the taskbar in vista or windows 7, does the tooltip with the window preview show the live state of the game or the state at which you tabbed out?

It shows the state when I tabbed out, and this is the only game that has done this for me. Every other game Ive played (rune scape, World of warcra ft, Guild wars, Maplestory, conquer online, and others) showed the live state of the game. The game is playable but its rather bothersome when muti-tasking.

And I really dislike to put it on full-screen as it makes it even harder to muti-task.

The "freeze" is done for a simple reason: when PWI is not the main focus program, it stops showing the event to avoid using RAM in a window you're probably not even seeing, and when it gets focus again it displays movement

Would love to see this as optional, shouldn't be hard to do, like an option that says "enable/disable RAM saving" and explanatory that it saves RAM by disabling graphic resources consumption when it's an inactive window, since the feature is quite helpful for when you do stuff like WQ or leave a catshop open as you check your e-mail or write an essay

All MMORPGs I've played/seen, do it though; it's more of a convenience of coding I think, than a convenience to the consumer.
There once a time when I cared about getting to the top quickly as possible to help others. Now, I take it slow, and don't worry about having nothing to do. There's always something to do in an MMORPG, especially if you are high level. PK'ing is for those who desire to inflate their egos. True friendship comes from helping one-another, rather than to start rivalries.

It takes 315300 Mysterious Chips to make one warsoul weapon, if you have a 100% success rate.
