Problems logging on and gameplay problems

When i login it takes about 3 to 5 minutes to login which to me is not normal as before the update it was very quick. when i do log and enter the game i can move normally but when i click on any of the NPCs they dont respond at all and when looking at others moving about they are lagging badly to me.

when i use the laptop to connect to the game it works perfectly and i cant work out what is wrong.

    On the computer having the problem; do a pingtest.net test: http://www.pingtest.net (Use a server near San Francisco/San Jose)

    copy the direct link to the resulting image and paste it here.

    If an asterisk appears next to the letter, then you don't have Java Runtime installed. (get it at http://www.java.com)

    Also would be nice to know what the problematic computer's network card is. (Device Manager > Network Adapters) As well as its graphic card just in case.

    My graphics cards is a ATI RADEON HD 4870 HD 1GB

    Since you give me a link to java i updated that since i had a old version but no joy.

    Have you tried a Verify from the launcher yet?

    verifying the files now also i thought i would update my network card, will see if it works after this is done

    verifyed files and still got the problem of a slowish login and cant talk to any NPCs why was it fine before the update and not now
