Healing in duels....

Im in a mood today..so i'm just trying to sort things out

So im not much on the pvp thing. Im to poor to bind my gear but i do enjoy a good duel to kill time or to put someone in their place.

Now im almost 100% sure that its ok to do this but ill ask anyway

There was some mouthy **** bm a few levels mouthing off and trying to boss people around...apparently i should let the tank die to save his **** etc etc. So i challenged him to a duel to prove to him that he had no idea what he was talking about .

I'm not sure that my strategy in duels is a good one, but its worked for me. I used plume shell to start and threw off a few ih's and a heal over time mp pot (gotta love plume shell but it hurts my mpXD. I ele sealed him and brought tempest down on his heavy armored **** like the angry hand of god... 1 shot.

He went off saying i was a cheater and clerics weren't allowed to heal in pvp and blah blah blah. Were not allowed to heal? Thats bull $hit, healing is the only special thing clerics really have going for us, aside from doing physical and magic damage.

Was i in the wrong? OR was hes just butt hurt that my tempest un-maned him
Yeah my sig doesn't match my name...i would say im being all clever and trying to confuse people...but im really just too lazy to make a new one

    if no rules were agreed beforehand - all is fair..

    usually folks agree to things like no healing, no pots, no genie etc before they duel..

    imho duels are only pretend pvp - so as in pvp anything that keeps you alive is permitted - you wouldnt stand out in the field white named and not heal? why would you do it in a duel and potentially waste your charm due to death

    O.o wait... explain to me again why clerics can't heal? They have 6 skills that are heals. Next time you duel that bm, tell him he cant stun, aoe, or use sutra.

    Any duel I'm in, I'll do whatever i have to to stay alive and kill the other guy. That's what a duel is.

    side note. Usually in a duel i'll ask things such as pots or no pots, genie or no genie, but have never asked if i'm allowed to use my own skills b:chuckle

    I dont duel much but as far as i'm concerned duels are your skills vs theirs. I dont like pots and apoths and genies in duels personally, though genies may be alright.

    once on my bm i dueled another bm in a bh39 cuz he was bein stupid.I used sutra in the middle and at the end I get "WTF are you healing for"....

    *mumbles* personally I think all pvp should be like this pots dont work and neither do charms *cough* *cough*b:shutup

    anyway.....if its in your skill tree its fair game

    Only if you agree before hand that something isn't allowed, then it is cheating.


    But if nothing was said, and duel happened. Then the guy is butt-hurt at your tempest 1 shotting his **** xD





    Oh, same for PvP, except anything that you have on you to stay alive = allowed.

    The healing was fine, but generally if no rules are agreed upon beforehand, the rules tend to be: skills okay, pots/genies not. Although you could use the "You didn't say" card, but those are general duel rules from what I've experienced.

    When I duel, I usually don't heal because for me it's not fair to the other person that I'm dueling (depending on thier level) because they don't have the neccessary skills to heal or want to waste pots or whatever.

    From what I'm heard, pots are okay. Genies are not.

    I've spent time and money leveling up my heals, of course I'm going to use them at duels. Potions, Genies, whatever I need to win and is mine then is okay... I don't care if they call me a noob or anything I just want to beat the other player.
