nein event problem

1st off let me say i enjoy it. messed up 1st one by not talking twice to npc. my bad. the next cpl days placed well enough to get prizes. but the last few days i've noticed that while i can see how much damage i'm doing my contribution points don't go up. goes up for the 1st 4 or 5 minions then stops. no change on the captain. about halfway through the beast it goes up a little. changes when they add the random. not sure if it's bugged, a lag related problem or what. is this happening to anyone else? 1st few days were nice but now other than the fun of rushing around killing it's not worth it for me.

    It wouldn't be just yours.
    The problem would occur for everyone in that case.

    then how do you explain it. i only update twice during the event and and then at final tally. i'm hitting for 20-30k over and over. makes no sense to me. it is simply not updating me every 60 seconds. i used to do public quest and had no problems . so i'm stumped

    Do you stay until the boss has been killed? That happened to me before because I leave right before the boss dies so I can go to the next available boss, but I don't get any contribution points because I didn't stay until the boss had died. Try staying until the boss is dead and then leave. Don't know if it's the same, but that was my experience when I wasn't getting contribution points.

    Do you still get contribution for killing mobs after the first phase of the event? I see people killing mobs long after the Captains(2nd stage) have died.

    yes i kill mobs then jump to captains tills it dead. then on to boss until he's dead. even tried killing mobs after boss is dead. i see my damage but just don't get contribution points. i don'tget it. especially since the first cpl of days i was getting points and scoring well enough to get prizes. has me baffled

    Well, unfortunately I don't quite understand how this could happen either. I would say though take screenshots throughout the event of your contribution, each one showing you attacking different mobs with your contribution showing in your chatbox. Post them on here and we might get a better idea of what is happening. Also, you might want to send the pictures in a ticket as well.

    that is a very good suggeston ACLucius. should of thought of it myself. got business to take care of so prolly won't get it done for a day or 2. even with this problem it's a fun event.

    i did the 9pm event tonite. really think it has to do with my lag. during the minions where people are spread out more it worked fine. during the captain not so well. when it came to the beast where everybody was all lumped together it didn't update at all till it was dead. but i made number 19 for class so was very happy.

    with the bosses/captains it always gives contribution on their death, just like the minions

    ok then i misunderstood what was happening. because my ranking was changing assumed contributions would too. so i guess all is good then. ty

    You only get contribution when a target dies, so likely the reason is that your score stops increasing / updating because the target is taking longer than the mobs to kill.

    Check your contrib before and after the captains die, you should notice a difference.
