Which lvl 79 skill?

I've been thinking of what lvl 79 cleric skill to get first. I know, I'm far from lvl 79, but I like to know what to get (first) and what not/second. So, guardian light or wings of protection?

Oh and, something else, I'm a bit scared to fail in bhs with healing the full squad, can you give me some tips?

    My recomendation is, wings of protection.

    Reason:

    Even though this skill only blocks 20% damage (of the max hp total) and/or lasts 30 seconds, it is a very good support skill.

    Don't use it on yourself, it will only block 1 hit for you since we clerics, have low hp (2k-6k at max... for Arcane Armor clerics)

    Once you reach higher levels, you will find that wings of protection (WoP) will come handy in TT when healing or wanting more time to stack the tank with more Iron Heart. (It will last at max 10-15 seconds on a barb being attacked).

    I found this also usefull in TT for example when killing Wurlord, it hits pretty high and 2 clerics are recommended if the squad is in lvl range of 75-90, one for Regeneration Aura (also called BB or Blue Ball...) and other for IH (Iron Heart), even though regeneration aura blocks 50% of the incoming damage the BB cleric will aggro the monster since its healing the squad (until the barb / bm attacks).

    You can use WoP on the BB cleric to block that one hit that might kill the cleric doing BB aka saving everyone's butt or use it on the tank while you start spamming IH.


    The other skill is nice, though it lasts 10 seconds haha, and its not like wow! lookie! i gotz shiny! b:chuckle

    It can also be used in PvP as an opener skill(not attack). I tank archers many lvls above me with this skill.

    WoP is useful, but in reality it only blocks 1 or at most 2 shots.

    Because WoP shouldnt be used on your character but on others, thats what WoP is for :P

    I'll shoot at the second question

    BH29 and 39especially because its much more involved than 29 are both known for being full of noobs. so dont get too upset if something goes wrong in those because t will happen. people at that lvl (new players anyway) often dont know what to do in such a squad because at lvl 40 bh29 will be the hardest thing they have done to that pointb:chuckle. At first for your sake and their sake focus on healing. once you are comfortable with keeping them alive you can start to DD.

    1) dont be afraid to nicely request for your squad to do ___. your job will be to keep them alive and this include asking them to change tactics not just spamming heals on them.

    2) wait to heal untill all aggroed mobs have been hit. heal aggro is bad news. if your tank runs in and aggros a bunch of mobs and does not hit them all they will come after you when you heal for both barb and bm if they are not aggroing tell them to use some aoe so that u can heal. for bm and barb both roar is a good one.

    3) watch everyones hp barb in the squad panel and click their names there to change heal targets. much easier then trying to click on screen between them.

    4) if you plan to aoe a group tell the tank to wait for heals before going in. give him 2 IH then he can go....then refer to point 2.

    5) also watch the mobs placement if the tank has proper aggro (in point 2) and suddenly a mob moves he is going after a DD that has stolen aggro. switch target to that DD. if the mob isnt there yet IH them then wellspring and repeat (because IH wont catch up before the DD is dead). but be sure not to neglect the tank and throw an IH over there every now and then. (point 3 comes in handy here). at that point the tank or another HA should be trying to get aggro off the DD and in lower bhs the mob will be easily dead by this time.

    I know that sounds like its a bit much but really a couple BH and u will say ...O this is easy.

    6) Once you are good with that you can start DDing to make tings go faster. long as you keep everyones. for instance. lets say theres a poison mob in a group or one you know will be ranged magic. let the tank aggro all give him a couple IH then you IH yourself and go all out on that magic mob. just remember to know what you can handle.

    7) at the boss as long as he doesnt do anything special and doesnt hit the tank incredibly hard spam 3 IH then DD for 4-5 hits. repeat when I do on a boss I can get an extra 30-35k damage in per cycle that I do that.

    usually bhs fail because of kamikaze DDs and not fail clerics....though i have seen my fair share o those on alt BHs. It looks like you are already thinking about what may need to happen so you are 90% of the way to not being a fail cleric

    You goal is to keep members of a squad alive, but you cannot do that if you are not.

    THB, I did not get WoP till close to level 100. Only time I use it tbh is on the cata barbs in TW. I rely on GL for myself.

    guardian light is ok if you dont have a laggy PC. Because if you do, this skill lasts only a few sec so you might have missed your timing....(too early or too slow)

    i would get WoP first since it work like one-shot prevention on squishies

    i use it very often, in dungeon and on bosses. almost always on luring venos or on strongest DD before 'zhening'

    I think I've used GL about twice. I rarely find the need, as usually sleep, seal, plume shell, IH stacks, or any combination of the mentioned skills is enough to survive.

    EDIT: Also, it's funny to see all the other classes all like "whoa, why do I have an archer buff?"

    i got guardian light first - because i decided it will keep me alive better ^.^ im a trained-by-tanks cleric, meaning first i try to save myself... wings i got soon after because our marshal gave me apo pages for it (ty suzy <3) - i was highest active cleric at the time and she funded it for general good
    since then i used both, wings more as they can be cast on others - perfect for pulling some bossess that you know would land at least one hit, or for protecting tank for a short while when you have to take care of someone else, or for saving someone when its so bad even wellspring may be too late
    both are good skills, both are useful, i think which one you get first depends on whom you play with - if more with randoms, then light to keep yourself alive in tight situations, if more with friends whom you trust to protect you then wings to better take care of them
    apo pages drop nicely in eden and brim, much better than in tt - if you dont have both skills at 90 few bh runs can take care of that :)

    b:laugh totaly my thought, that will save your butt, especialy if the barb dc while tanking or whoever is tanking b:chuckle. Who will res them if you are dead?
    It helps a lot in pvp too.

    So it s kinda like who you prefer to save You (guardian light) or the other (Wing of Protection) .

    For the healing thing, usualy every ppl should hit the same mob, if someone agro 1 or 2 other mobs, you can heal him as well with 2 -3 IH as soon as he hit all the mobs attacking him else you ll get agro. If it s start to go like your squad agro all the room you are in just throw up BB and take pop corn while they kill the stuff (or get killed for the i wanna be super man idiot who don t come in BB range).

    Ohhh i see...didn't read through the whole thing because its really long and i pretty much know most if not all of it (at least for my part, heh heh).

    Just a note: Wings of Protection is a skill that can save someone without aggroing. I use it all the time, especially on a veno pulling, or a barb/BM gathering mobs to AoE. Because of its lack of aggro at all, it can be used if someone accidentally pulls a lot of mobs and hasn't had a chance to hit them all yet as well. It really is a lifesaver.

    Ty for all the info, though, it'll be hard to find out what to get, Aya__ has a point on Guardian Light, but WoP seems to be good as well.

    Guess I'll try to get both at once maybe... If I'm not able to, I'll get WoP first I think :P

    Try to squad with someone(like faction mate, friends) who has the skills and see how they use it. Problem with Guardian Light is that you need to get used to using it, its your panic button with an extremely long cool down. But I would like to add that not having either is fine until anytime. But it would be ncie to have them at least in your late 80s.
