What's the status for the Arena ?(not tournament)

I've been wondering since more than a year now, why has the Arena been closed in PWI?
I heard it was enabled here during closed beta and it works well on other versions.

It would be by far the instance which gives PWI the highest amount of $ income, thanks
to major charm wastings?

So whats the status, closed and given up?
I'm really starting to miss the fun things that the 'real Perfect World' actually offers, we used to have so many daily event/instances.(all thats left is CoA and DT -_-)

    But yea it was much fun

    Yeah, I'd never enter that if people camped just to PK.
    There once a time when I cared about getting to the top quickly as possible to help others. Now, I take it slow, and don't worry about having nothing to do. There's always something to do in an MMORPG, especially if you are high level. PK'ing is for those who desire to inflate their egos. True friendship comes from helping one-another, rather than to start rivalries.

    It takes 315300 Mysterious Chips to make one warsoul weapon, if you have a 100% success rate.

    Are you saying the same during TW, when the other faction is defending b:beatup
    Organise a push and done, can even gather chi in safezone at stakes :-)

    Usually it wasn't that crowded right at the start though and more on the platform and the stairs.
    I just miss a place for group pvp or training TW pushes/tactics for PvE servers.
    Or simply a place to hang out and PK all day :3

    Dunno, there was nothing wrong with it on the my-en version. There was even an event on saturdays where you dig chests on the top platform and pvp to get prizes. But that is fun and fun is bad so it got removed.

    Like others have already hinted at, its probably not coming back. It was open for a very short time after open beta started, and closed unexpectedly... The fake arena they have now is very tricky to understand, and can result in lots of coin loss if you're not careful. xP

    I guess sending a ticket could help, but I'm not sure if they answer anything. I'd do that myself but I tend to fail with formal English and it would be best if the one who sends the ticket speaks as good English as possible.

    Unless they modified it, the spawn area of the city arena was a safe zone (at least it was on the MY servers when I played there)

    Yes there is indeed a safe zone at the respawn point which is almost 50-100m long,
    meaning real camping isnt practicable, especially since everyhting behind the stakes is safezone and to get chi.

    I would really like an actual response to this, even though the chances are very slim.
    Especially for the reason of why they actually disabled this.


    Its a clear fun factor of the game taken out for nothing?

    (All the other regular events where you used to get the Badges i understand like Forrest Ruins and the real City of Abomination since they got exploited, but why the Arena?)

    I think I remember a really old post stating it was removed for lack of people actually using it. Didn't make much sense, unless it takes up a lot of memory even when not used for some reason, or needed more attention than normal.
