Not detecting RAM QQQQQQ

Notice: This isn't likely an issue that interferes with gameplay =/, it's just a glitch since 32bit can only read up to 4GB of RAM. (See last post for details).
I sent in a ticket for tech support, but in case this has happened before to someone else and have successfully fixed this issue, please help me b:surrender

The top left picture is what I see after I click on "Game Settings" in the launcher app, the top right picture is what dxdiag shows.
The bottom picture is the "Game Settings" window on my Dad's computer

Are you able to run the game ok?Do you need help learning about patching the game, installing it, changing antivirus/firewall settings, changing network settings, learn how to use a computer, keeping your PC maintained and more?

No that's sorta why I'm trying to figure out how to get PWI to recognize all the RAM, so it might prove to be the fix.
Currently I have an issue with not being able to log in after logging out at a crowded place, i.e. Headhunter, West District, South Banker, Nein Beast event starter, and so on. And very often when I walk/teleport into crowded place, I get disconnected from the server, and it won't let me log in the server.
I don't know if you can read support tickets, but if you can, the ticket number is 15049-70834; you can read that thread to learn about my problem and attempts[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
Yeah, give us some time on that one for a reply

I'm having this same exact issue. Running on a 64-bit Windows Vista OS with 8 GB ram but still detecting 0 ram. Running the compatibility settings to Windows XP Service Pack 2 gives me about 1 gb of ram, but I'd much prefer allocating all of it.
Hopefully this gets resolved as I don't want to have to upgrade to Windows 7 just to get it to recognize my memory. =/0 -

Are you having the same issue as I'm having? Disconnecting at crowded places, unable to log in from the same place, etc etc.
Also which program are you running with compatibility settings? The launcher/patcher? Or elementclient.exe?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
No, I don't carry the same disconnection problems you're having. However, I'm pretty sure the base of both our problems lie with the fact that the game doesn't detect our ram outside of what the video card provides. Sigh.
I'm doing it on the patcher btw.0 -

My video card carries its own 1GB of memory, so it should be at least 1024MB... but it says 0 =/.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
Sigh, was hoping they would actually have a reply or fix to this in the 24 hours that they said they would =/.
My card also has 1024 MB worth of dedicated ram as well. No luck here but meh. -_-0 -

I think this might be an issue with 64bit Windows. I just formatted my hard drive and reinstalled Windows 7... same issue persists. I just don't understand why it's only me <_< and why it's only after the neinbeast event patch <_<[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
An update on the issue for me: I recently upgraded from Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit to Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit (this morning actually) thinking that Windows 7 would be more compatible with the ram detection for Perfect World, but the same issue still persists.
I honestly don't know what to think anymore as many people with 64-bit Vista and 7 do not have the same problem we do, so it could be a question of error within the CPU and possibly hardware incompatibilities?
I'm sorry to hear that your Perfect World JUST started doing it after the patch. Unfortunately, I've been plagued with this issue since the start . Hoping one of the Techies will respond to this thread soon as it makes game playability rather disappointing -_-.0 -

Mmm... at this point, I have no idea how to graps whats going on, so here's a shot in the dark:
We both have over 4GB of RAM; PWI runs in 32bit, which technically speaking only can read a maximum of 4GB of RAM; despite that 64bit Win7/WinVista can run PWI in 32bit, the actual RAM exceeds the 4GB limit, maybe something in the game gets messed up by this.
Also... have you ever used Cheat Engine for anything?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
I was thinking that as well, however, I did hear on other threads that some people with 64-Bit Vista/7 were able to run the game with their ram correctly displayed. As far as over 4 gb of ram, I don't know how many of them actually exceeded that limit, but I recall one or two people saying they did have 8 gb of ram.
As far as the cheat device or whatever goes, no, because I reformatted my computer both times when running Vista and installing Windows 7, so I had a clean slate to start. And the techies are still shunning us .
What I don't understand is if what you say is true, then why doesn't it just read our ram at 4 gb as opposed to just 0. At this point, I'll take anything -_-.0 -

The people with 8GB of RAM, was that displayed on their Game Settings page?
Cheat Engine modifies entires in the RAM, the only software I installed that week was Cheat Engine (I was using it to hax a single player Spring >_> don't get ideas) ... i thought perhaps I had accidentally messed up something, but I just reinstalled Win7, so that's a no go.
Talking with some friends that also sees incorrect RAM values, however, their game runs fine... maybe this isn't the issue =/.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Dear god man why when installing an OS never reformat b:faint
Reformat is basically the computers creator saying hey want to buy a new computer. =X[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

In response to everyones issue:
My Computer, select Properties and the amount of RAM listed should be indicated on the General Tab.
If not then power off (yes, even unplug) then take out the ram and place it back in (ram stick must go in all the way on both sides)
After that plug in power up and you should get a message about new ram from your computer.
If the pop up does not occur it may be an issue with the ram... there is a way to check if your computer is paying attention to the fact that there is more ram, but that is a bit more complex and this in my believe is usually quick check fix.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

well according to the screenshots windows it picking up the installed amount of ram fine; its the pwi client that fails to read it so there would be no problem with the fitting/install of the ram
altho my suggestion would to be remove a few GB of ram to leave you with 2/4 gb installed and then try launching it to see if it picks that up ok, obviously its not a proper fix if it works but its something temporary that will allow you to play atleast0 -

From what i gather the first screeny is from there computer and the other is stated to be from his dad's.
Also the screens show two different CPU's and Display cards which gave my the idea that he is referencing 2 different computers.

b:surrender Looks like this isn't the cause of my gameplay problem
* Talked with some friends with 4GB+ of RAM, someone with 4GB says the game settings only sees around 2GB, someone with 6GB of RAM reporting that game settings shows 0MB, however, none of these people are experiencing the same issue as me
*I removed 4GB of my RAM and tried to run the game with 2GB RAM, problem persists.
*Although I wouldn't bet my life on this, but I don't think this is any issue that affects how your game runs in all likelihood my particular DC/timeout problem is caused by something else. b:cry
tl;dr: its just a glitch of the game not recognizing more than 4GB of RAM, shouldn't affect gameplay.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Theoretically, we can go back to Vista with PWI; just run the compatibility to Vista Service Pack 2, haha.0 -
No one's figured this out yet huh? Shame, was hoping after all this time someone would find a solution =/.0

Hi all,
Just started back on pwi after a long break and I have the same 0mb ram showing.
My system: Win 7 64bit, 4gb ram. (all drivers and updates done)
No disconnects for me but the game runs very jerky (even on low settings). The odd thing is I have alot of other more demanding games that all run smooth on full settings.
When I was last playing pwi about a year ago, I was using a computer which is half the spec of this one now and it ran alot better on full settings.
Maybe a win 7 problem as last time I was on xp.0
