You have to have the same amount the person is asking for in order for the item to be dragged in the selling part of the cat shop.

    Not true regarding the amount.

Drag the item you're trying to sell on top of the exact same item in their "Buying" window. Not to the empty area below.

    ^^ what Brigid said.

and yeah, this one seems to me like a user interface bug just ripe for the fixing, even as the auction house search function was. (and look how long THAT one took to get right...?)

seriously, this game has some of the most amazing artwork i've ever seen, coupled with some of the most amazingly sloppy QA / UI work i've ever seen. i mean, rubberbanding? after HOW many years? that should've been worked out in the very first closed beta, before most of us ever heard the name "perfect world". but i keep coming back just to fly around the place with my archer and gawk at landscape scenes...

If the cat shop is out of coin they cant buy it, buy dragging the item over to the items wanted and dropping it there works if they have the coin to pay you

If your going to yell "Heal" at me and then cuss at me, please do me the courtesy of yelling it in English

So I can laugh as I watch you Die

I play a Vampire not a Priest because I am Not a Heal bot for a whining "Tank Class"

so if the cat shop doesn't have the coin to pay for one copy of some wanted item, prospective buyers really shouldn't even see that item in the "buying these items" list. it's another user interface bug that shouldn't be that impossibly hard to fix, if PWE put effort into fixing bugs.

The "rubberbanding" problem actually hasn't always been around. The problem was that people were hacking the game client so they could jump as many times as they want (as opposed to the normal double-jump, or single jump when on mounts). Since the character's height was originally controlled by the client, the **** didn't cause any problems, and people using it could jump as high as they wanted.

To fix this, they had to make it so that your height is "corrected" by the server to prevent this **** from working. Unfortunately, the side effect of that is that when the server and client don't exactly match, you get this "rubberbanding" effect, when the client moves you to where the server thinks you should be. They might be able to lessen the problem, but due to delays in data transfer across the Internet, I don't think it's possible to eliminate it entirely.

If you want to blame anyone for this problem, blame the people who can't play fairly and forced them to add this anti-hacking check.

A cat shop will never be out of coin to buy items they want. If you try making a cat shop to buy stuff, you'll see that you're only allowed to buy as much as you can pay for with what you currently have on you.

Even with the patch that now saves the items in your buy/sell slots, you can't do it. Sure, when you try to set up shop again, the item shows in your buy slots. But the game won't let you set up because you don't have the money to buy it.
