    Amour has an incredible weapon, but if you use PWcalc and replace it with a rank8 +10 with 1 saphire (2 socket empty) you get slightly better magic attk. You have one more crit on weapon but true, 350 HP less. Elayne I guess doesn't give a **** about that 350 HP (ran8 ring 180 HP and 1 crit extra also, so the HP gain is not that impressive in the end). She/he went for dmg/crit, and for that rank8 is better (+10 or +12, doesn't matter). I know about the nirvana set bonus , but I think Elayine did his/her homework on that one too

    Don't get me wrong, Amour's weapon is simply amazing. But Elayne knows what he/she's doing with that rank8, even if it doesn't look like it at a first glance.

    Elayne has nirvana wand with -10% channeling and a few other minor mods

    @Ursa: If I am not mistaken, Elayne currently uses a Nirvana Wand with 6 channeling and two times 18 mag. Could be 10 chan, not sure. But no crit at all on the weapon. Amours weapon is like HH99 gold on crack and the 350 hp is especially nice since he sharded up with attack level stones. I just like the combination.
    But I would never say Rank8 is a bad weapon, his G15 Nirvana sword is just more Unique and simply amazing. And I find it also better than Elaynes wand, because I don't like the idea of a wizard using an endgame weapon without a single point of crit. Probably different for a demon wizard tho.

    I'd get Rank8 if I could afford it, but I farmed my nirvana weapon with my guild and I'm damn happy with the damage I do :3
