There's been lots of good decisions and quite a few bad ones concerning this game; simply, what's the worse thing PWI (or its players) did to the game over the years? Also, try not to go for the scapegoat with packs, but rather what about them was the biggest mistake.
For me, the worsts mistakes were Chest of Coins and the popularization of 5aps/eternal sparking. Chest of Coins was the only time PWI introduced an item that directly controlled the economy and create artificial inflation on gold prices (although you can say Best Lucks did the same, the Ten Million Notes were not the main cause of high pack prices). Once people realized just how strong/overpowering fists were with low interval, it not only greatly affected and "soloized" endgame and made PvP cheaper in a way, it also reduced the versatility and full-potential of not only BMs, but many classes.
Honorable mention to Jolly Jones of how laughably bad that event failed in its original purpose.

Biggest fail?
That's easy, I will actually mention a few in order of what i think is worse.
1. Oracles and exp stones, why?, as if leveling wasnt easy enough, why not stuffing players with these which are worth a leg and an arm to get to 100s faster?
2. Chest of coins (indeed), why?, as you said, due to this item GOLD will never be lower than 200k due to this item.
3. Packs (anny packs, tiger packs, coral packs, w/e u want to call them), why?, it is now easier and cheaper to make gems, potions, etc. not mentioning this is giving a lot of profit for those who charge zen or atleast who knows how to play the market.
4. Pet packs (yes all A/C pet sale), took the job out of the venos, BADLY, pets now sale for 150k when making them with NPC is 200k...
5. -20% DQ Price drop, if the economy wasnt bad enough, people who grind are getting -20% profit from grinding. Personally I don't grind anymore with my veno, I can make more money with my cleric merchanting...

How about this : the fact that new games keep dropping from PWE while this game seems to get neglected as far as new content... I'm not talking adding public quest in other areas I'm talking the still non-working arena, recycled instances (Warsong/Nirvana) and the still non-working but new Shrine of the Tides which has never worked.
Add on to the fact that nothing has been done with instances like Forest Ruins for ages and yeah.... Can Forsaken World just be a part of this game? I think this game needs a new continent.0 -
Gold bug was the worst thing ever, get 3 gold, and NPC some clothes for 3M.... Gold went up to 800-900K each, and lot of our friends got banned cuz they did the bug 0

For those 100+ yes.
I farm endlessly, but it does and can get really boring doing the same instances over and over.

so your saying the people who charge real life money shouldnt be ahead? lol
i dont see why u would call this fail. IF ANYTHING putting packs in that u could get anything in the game for 1 dollar was so smart. as if u were gonna go grind the 24k eyes for boots? or the helm from OHT? maybe u dont even know about that. anyways, packs saved peoples months and months of saving time and charm cost w/. just 1 dollar.
fail? maybe, smart? yes. pwi made killing on people charging zen and that is what a company is here for. dont QQ if you dont charge that is your choice, this is a FREE to PLAY game. u just will not get to the same lvl of gear as some people for another year or 20 -

For many yes which I just do not understand...I did every quest on Rose here, Zhen parties, etc...I think it helped shape me as a Cleric (as cheesy as that may sound).
Now ppl rush to 100+ and they cannot play there class except in BH or oracle type situations (this is all my opinion).
But I have found that many get to 100+ and are, "Is this all you do at level 100?" The answer is yes, you farm for gear improvement basically...oh and TW if you are in a faction that does.
Hell, I have been at 101 since November and am only at 50%. It is only 5 stat points...right now all I do is farm to improve my gears (which I am slowly starting to like more but still need to improve) and help people.
There is nothing but farming past 100+....people need to understand that b:surrender[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Well, lol, I read all your posts here and not one of them included the only thing that got me so many KOS threats to me when I posted a world chat claiming how much I just adored them. Yes, I'm talking about the perfect horns. Of course I was trolling when i begged the GM to bring them back in the world chat however I was flamed in PMs like hell on earth.
So I would be safe to assume that the perfect horns were the ultimate 'perfect fail' in our perfect world.

No1 mistake that i always will remember is
Anniversary Pack & Tokens
Good Job, developer just open shortcut to both end game lv and end game equipment.
Plus increasing gold price, making people want to purchase more gold for coin in game.
Creating so many noob high level player, that have less knowledge than a level 40 player.
And at the same time the packs have chance to give you 10mill isn't it perfect ?

Aight. I have no idea what the WORST thing they've ever done is. I know I LOVE the tokens, they make a lot of things, like books, rep, food, blablabla a hella lot cheaper. That's nice. However when I wanna buy a charm for TW, or for delta or gamma or whatever, pain in the **** much?
Hypers. Oracles. Leveling shortcuts in general? I appreciate hypers. I've never been rich enough to oracle, seeing as though I'm not an avid cash shopper. I'm sorry, but if YOU would like to grind several mil in EXP, be my guest. I like ma hypers.
However I do find them irritating as well, because now we have a bunch of 95-103 suck. ****. players. It's actually quite irritating when you find OUT that they're fail oraclebabies, because then you're still squaded with them for whatever you were doing. It's also kinda annoying that people won't take someone of a certain level on higher level instances if they NEED in the instance for a mat or a quest or whatever. If they need it, they should probably be in that instance. --speed levels to 100 so I can Nirvanna for coin and get TT99 gears n ****-- So, no, not the worst thing PWE has ever done.
Chest of coins? Do people even remember what those are any more?
The horns were probably the worst. They were ALMOST as bad as Duke Blacke during the first bit of anni packs. At least you could BL the people horning. b:laugh
And the interval stuff? Yeah I can't afford that, thankyou. I'm neither intelligent market-wise nor a credit-card lover for this game.
The worst thing the makers of PWI ever did might be the DQ price drop. We don't FARM coins like that. Ah well.
In conclusion to my book, the WORST thing PWE EVER did was let people who don't want to learn how to play the game, play the game! And of course we can't forget the more unintelligent and fail people. That'd probably be the worst thing they've ever done.0 -

And this is why I hate the Cash Shop now. My only two CS Items: A green Ballroom gown and a pair of wings....both given to me as a birthday gift by my fiance.

Thus, the "poor people" of Perfect World were born. The Ironic thing is, now those chests are worth less than half the original price.

Not to mention, it makes the gold prices really nasty when they're out....And the market players get to stomp alllllll over the little people.

The fact Assassins are OP sons of camels makes everybody forget about the Nixed venos...so the sale was slightly overlooked by non-Veno classes. Little did we realize, it was one of the signs of the apocolypse.

PWI has plagues of assassins.
Assassins have replaced almost every single class. Blackfox (a faction in Harshlands) is 99.9% made of Assassins. Their LEADER is even an assassin!
Assassins make the Psychics look pretty bad as well. Now people are calling TB's in general OP, when I can tell you, my old cleric had a LOT more firepower than my Psychic back when she was 6x.
Assassins have also stabbed, murdered, r@ped, robbed, pillaged, and kicked around0 -

FFC is kid game... Nirvana gets used for quick money farming... TT3-2/3-3 gets farmed with 4people... Warsong? Lunar? They didn't seem hard from what I have seen...
Seems only Delta is left as challenge and for a simple reason - most good players stopped to do full runs and randoms seems to fail badly...0 -

I agree entirely Dame, this game is way to easy now, IMO they should bring back the original sqaud mode FCC where every mobs had long range aoe spells and 1 mistake meant a party wipe. Atleast you get a feeling of accomplishment when you complete it0 -

Biggest mistake were hypers. Everybody uses them, so everybody lvls up very fast. Weren't BHs enough..? The truth is some people just focus on using their money for hypers and notice that they're still using their lvl 70 gears at lvl 100. Unless they use boutique >.>[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Packs or horns don't bother me as much.
More 100s? WEll it's kinda nice... more ppl to farm higher tts & Nirvana with... I remember when it took us forever to get a 100 to open 3-3 for us -.-
About the # of noobs... Actually I think were plenty even before all the oracles & hype... Not like grinding before took much brain work... I remember when somebody would just hire my cleric for an hour so I fly around healing bms on spiders near 1k.

A lot of ingame things that were precious become worthless overtime like a higher level, a special item etc.
Ex. I remember I was doing dragon quests every day to get a violet lightning. And ofc it appeared the day in the boutique when I intended to turn in the dq orders.0 -
